Sweet!
When teams start adding candidates this late in the process it can only mean one of two things, and both are scary:GM SEARCH UPDATE According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, they’ve asked to speak with Vikings assistant G.M. George Paton and Seahawks co-director of player personnel Scott Fitterer.

1. There was no real plan in place to hire Mac's successor on he day he was fired, which is stunningly incompetent.
2. There was a plan in place but it blew up in their face like Anthony Barr, you thought you had your man and he had a last minute change of heart.
IMO those are the only real reasons to expand the search for a new GM like the Jets have done here.
Would anyone else here not mind going after Scott Pioli?
Since he quit the Falcons I thought for sure he'd be a top candidate ?
WTF are the Jets doing ?
Has he been linked to the job at all?
Yeah. You would have to give him a call if you were the Jets. I'm amazed and confused if they dont
If this is the case then I'm going with option two. Are they even interviewing Peyton Manning??? Has that happened yet id is it happening at all?
Well, he does have experience working with the Jets, 1997 to 2000. Maybe that's why they haven't called him. I don't remember in what capacity he worked here or why he left but there is history. Maybe one of you guys has that information. I don't. I'm also curious why he left the Falcons to pursue other opportunities. What opportunities ?

I'd rather lose without them than win with them.
For example, if Bill Belichick offered to coach the Jets, I would email him the following response:
I'm sure there is mutual interest. It might just be being kept under the radar.
I don't know why he's want to come here but it is strange that he up and left Atlanta with no where to go at the same time that Gase fired our GM
He has previous ties to the Jets from the late 90s and he's a local New Yorker. He's from Washingtonville.
