Hey, I'm not unhappy. We lost the first game with an "O" line that hasn't really played together much and a kicker that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from the inside. In fact with a decent kicker it would have been a win. It's going to take some time for this group to really gel and we all know that, or at least we should. I expected growing pains and believe that Joe will do his best with the avenues open to him to get the team functioning the way it should. It's not as if there were tons of star players just waiting for the Jets in the wings.

Well the logical thought should be that DT tore his Achilles in December 2018. He is 9 months post surgery. And he was not active week 1 because of a hamstring injury. Yes there is no risk here, but there was zero reason to trade for him. He was getting cut. He is way past his prime and torn his achilles 9 months ago. Sorry this is waste of a trade with very little upside as a WR. Now if Gase wants to use DT as a TE then I can see the value.

you may be right on all of that ,but when/if we start out 1-5 or 0-6 it's gonna be dang hard to turn things around in that locker room. We really need a win at home week one and we had it and we blew it. Sounds familiar

The team seemed to stutter after Mosley went out and they need to make sure that they can deal with that kind of adversity in the future if it happens but over all the kicker cost them the game and they have made a move to correct that problem. Lets hope it works out. The corners contributed to the loss and are still a problem I'll admit and I'm sure that didn't go unnoticed by Joe.

Just watch - none of our WR's besides Crowder come close - Robby has been dropsy since day 1 and Enuwa is always injured and when he is not he is invisible

Lol, that’s a good one but we all know that won’t happen. Besides, DT won’t give us his past all-pro numbers but he may surprise us all and contribute a lot more then we think. He is now the second best receiver we have and if he’s 100 percent healthy he may be our best one. He’s only 31 years old. He has to have something left.

Guys, I think you're missing the big picture - this is not about the Patriots. It's about the fact that Thomas knows Gases offense inside and out. He's healthy and can still contribute. He can help the other WRs. I watched the video (good post) - he looks fine. His routes look good, speed is fine. He's not a top end guy anymore, but he's fast enough. And - this sends a message that if you don't perform, someone is going to take your place.

And Joe Douglas getting criticism for trading a 6th rounder 2 years from now? Seriously - c'mon guys. He can pick that back up in a minute in another move. Let's be real here.

The kicker situation was inherited and it's no easy fix. We'll see if this guy can play.

You would think that would not be the case - but again blame Mac. We had a pro-bowl special teams last year between punt and kicker - it was a strength - the one strength. Why would you not resign them when we had tons of cap space lol. Then he does next to nothing to fix the problem. As to CB it went the way of center for Mac. In his entire time as GM when did he ever use a top pic on either.

Mac should of been fired with Bowles.

My big issue is his age and the nature of his injury combined. I'm 100% positive he could have traded for someone younger. At least he filled the position with someone that has knowledge of Gase's offense for next to nothing. And if AB gets suspended or fails then hopefully it stings the Pats even more.

that said, did coach bowles & maccagnan deserve to be fired?? should both still be here awaiting there 2nd extensions?? a lot of jet fans (myself included) on jet fan forums thought they did.. are fans capable of telling if a HC or GM are incompetent or is that above our paygrade??

pretty sure everyone is joking about firing Douglas. At least this week. 5 weeks from now they may not be joking anymore... and I'm joking too
