Found this video recapitulating the 1972 season and though you young folks would appreciate seeing what the Jets looked like way back when. Therapy perhaps?
I remember watching all these NFL Films pieces, but did not recall this specific one. I love how the narrator (think it's John Facenda who did a ton of these) says that Super Bowl III must seem "like so long ago". LMAO. Wish he had the ability to see that we're still waiting for a return trip to the big dance. BTW, we went 7-7 and missed the playoffs.

Therapeutic ain't the word, this site is like a life savior. LOL! Between our team that drives me crazy every year and my job and my wife who drives me crazy in other ways, YOU GUYS ARE ALL I HAVE! LOL!
But on a serious note this is a great site for die-hards to vent (all the damn time), celebrate (very seldomly) and discuss all Jets matter. My first experience watching a Jets game was the 1982 AFC Championship game and I've been hooked ever since. The Jets lost that game in a close one and I thought they would be a great team forever. Well they were pretty good in the 80's and had a few very good years in the 90's. Even a few in the 2000's but could never get over that hump. With this site it's like you guys are the only ones who understands my pain, being that I no longer live and haven't lived in the NYC-NJ area for over twenty years. So thank you Jets die-hards for suffering with me.

That pre-season game against the Giants when Chad injured his hand was a season killer. Still see him holding his hand coming off the field.
