With all the ghost talk I have to ask
Where the fuck has Quinnen Williams been ?
Our #1 pick was suppose to disrupt and explode the opposing o line
13 tackles - 0 sacks - 0 fumble recovery
Talk about an invisible ghost
He's getting a pass because we suck ?

Dead-on, Bigmoe. Although it does take a special talent for someone that big to disappear so completely. I pray he eventually becomes a decent player. But I hated that pick.

Jax defense is looking to rattle him for sure. I think Darnold is going to get blitzed by teams until he and the O Line prove they can stop it.

Bingo and AG O schemes leave the QB vulnerable. God are you listening, please do not let Sam get killed and let the OL have an epiphany so they finally start to block people.

They either have an epiphany or we'll start doing novenas for Darnold's health/life.

Cheater, I can't disagree with most of your points. I'm not at all convinced that Darnold is ruined - he's far more talented than Sanchez or Marinovich or Kessler, or Barkley or any other USC QB to come out in the last 30 years. It's not even close. We've seen more than enough at this point to know the kid can play, and become an excellent NFL QB. But he needs more help to your point. If the o-line can't block anyone, Joe Montana couldn't win. So that is priority #1.

And I'm not going to kill Douglas - no way. He's been on the job for a few months. Look what they guy inherited. The consensus around the league is that this guy is the real deal. We'll know in a few years, but I have confidence with his coming from the Eagles. They are one of the most talented and well-built teams in the league.

As for the rest, I think you're on point. I've been watching this for 46 years - so I get it believe me. I'm as done with this crap as anyone.

One year, this is going to go our way...it might be next year or the year after that, but I'm telling you, this is going to turn around. I believe that. Once you have a QB, you have a chance, and we have one.
not to sound like an ass but. The Colts had Andrew Luck and Darnold is not Andrew Luck. For that matter they had Peyton who, to me was the smartest and maybe the best quarterback ever. Second to Montana at worst. And they only won one superbowl. Brady wins because he has an insane coaching staff and a great system to play in. No matter what Darnold is, we still lack all the other stuff

And Brady never gets hit. From day one he has been the statue of liberty. Had he had Sam's first year and a half experience, he would have been ruined just like I'm really afraid Sam is

When Parcells was here, I felt sure we were winning a superbowl. the only time in my life. Yeah, maybe when we were 10-1 before we lost the last5 , I believed, but I was a drunk college kid then. Right now I just don't feel it at all. I know that means nothing, but it's just my gut

I think may feel this way Look I did in 2007 ….next year cards are in the SB. I was thinking the same with the blues...out of the blue (lol) they win the cup

What your seeing out of the coaching staff is exactly what they typically produce. Gase had 2 awful years in Miami, 1 decent year before running off ant decent talent. His offense by design has no protection, he's said as much and Sam doubled down on it in his post game presser after NE. In Gase's O, it's up to the QB to get the ball out faster than the free runners..... Why do you think his QBs were always injured in Miami... It's a great system for a 20 year vet HOF QB.
Not so much for a very raw kid with nearly no experience playing the position. Even Bates was smart enough to give him extra protection.
Williams plays a very agressive D. It always gives up big plays and we don't have the personal to recover most times. His D's have been league avg when not loaded with talent, and have gotten worse in recent years.
Had Dallas not lost both starting tackles, and their top 2 recievers, we would have been blown out week 6 too. Barely held on to win. Thanks to Adams!!!
We have a HC/OC who has not spoken to the DC in weeks.
Our GM was hired by the H.C., both report to C.J.
Douglas is an unknown, he's a former scout, so was Mac.
Some fans credit him with the Eagles draft success, the Eagles are the only team to have under performed Mac the last 3 seasons. Slightly ahead of him in the 4 years he was here but Douglas was still in Chicago for the 2016 draft, didn't join the Eagles until late June.
Let's hope he turns out to be great in the draft because we need several solid drafts in a row .
Going forward this season, we play the worst teams in the league, there's bound to be several wins, 5-6 should be minimum.
But that will lead to false hope. Gase is the right guy, Darnold is going to lead us to multiple VLTs. The evaluations must be done on a game by game basis against level of competition.
I fear were in for more Gase , another season or two at least. Does it ruin Darnold, is he physically or mentally broken by then?
Thanx 4 this post!
