See. This is exactly why we can never be a good team. If we didn't suck, then we would never get to read hilarious posts like this. Nice work Butterscotch. Clearly you put a lot of time into that post. Setting up the microphones and stuff to get that conversation on tape had to have taken a while.

Before this season started, after seeing the schedule I posted a million times my concern about what would happen if we had an 0-6 start. How would Gase not lose the locker room? Would Sam be ruined by the combination of the bad start, coach losing the locker room, and the constant pummeling behind the horrible line.

Sam has 35 seconds to recognize the D and call protection. You don't audible after the snap. His pre snap reads are non-existent and he's continually calling the wrong protection. He was a project coming out of USC. He had very little experience, terrible mechanics, and couldn't read a defense. He's had no help developing as a QB. Gase is expecting him to perform at the same level as a first ballot HOFer, and he thinks force feeding him clips of the Broncos Super Bowl run is going to fix him.
Sam was all about potential,not accomplished talent. Without major changes, he will not realize that potential...

So advise to Gase on the first play, Line Bell in the backfield with either Griffin or Wesco play action and toss it deep to Vyncint Smith or Robby Anderson either one should get a step on the defense.
Then after that if Gase feels we need to run the ball the next 50 times so be it.
Sam is at his best when he has receivers crossing over the field from right to left. Come back routes to the sideline on either side are successful but we have seen maybe a handful of these plays each game.
why does it seem the motion we see is Montgomery & Bell switching who will be in the backfield then we run the ball.

35 seconds wow you being nice. the ball snapped and the defender is already massaging his ass.
blocking scheme is simply pathetic, but the spacing is either too much or not enough so players (OL) are not taking their respective jobs seriously.
Pre snap.... There's no rush, no pressure. He's failing to identify the D and call the correct adjustments.

the problem is Gase not preparing for pre snap adjustments.
same time the center is suppose to call line adjustments which are not happening.
he is either not allowed or is at this present time incapable of audible out of pre planned game plan to either a safer play or to be aggressive because he sees something that he can take advantage of. this is all about the coach, preparation and film study. Gase has his friend as OC or acting OC/QB coach. too many titles for coaching staff that have nothing to do with the team especially on game day.
we see Gase sitting alone on the bench, where is Sam, where is Loggins, where is any other fucking player on offense they are all scattered away from Gase it is starting to be another running joke. that game day no one knows who the hell this guy is.
so comes to down is this, will the Jets have to draft his replacement if he is seeing them ghosts before they even line up for the snap?
Maybe, but probably not. Right now the kid is so rattled that he can't function properly but a couple easier games should give him a chance to collect himself and maybe get out of the funk he's in. Hope, Hope, Hope.

any play caller knows to get his QB in rhythm simple easy throws but lets not show our hand when doing so...
the problem the sets we run out of they know what is coming, when we are trying to disguise so we can pass they are like fuck you, you're mine bitch and laying hit after hit on Sam, I would too be rattled when the game plan is flawed and that is being nice...
Precisely. He doesn't stand a chance in hell if they don't fix the "O" line and Gase has to be a LOT less predictable with his play calling. If he could come up with something original that he has used since Miami that would help.
problem he is using everything he stole from Peyton Manning in Denver over and over again in Chicago then Miami now with us... Predictable is all he has...
You hit the nail square on the head my friend. Every team we face knows exactly what we are doing every play.
That's always been who Gase is. But there are audibles available to Sam. We have seen him make adjustments on occasion. Just to rarely.
yea but when he does do them he gets yelled for it... Gase, Brian Winters, D Loggins, all shake their heads in disbelief on what he is doing back there...
