Watching the meltdown when Douglase selects Chase Young with the first pick will be fun.
Actually he would be a great addition and probably an impact player that would give Williams wet dreams but if I were making the pick, right now at least, I would select Andrew Thomas from Georgia without hesitation.
I think Young is the best player in this draft by far. At a position we have needed for years but the fans would go crazy. Seems everyone wants O line with the first 3 picks minimum
if medically cleared would rather have Trey Smith from Tennessee...
but would settle for Walker Little from Stanford...
who knows maybe double down...
first trade down for that dope of a franchise that wants their next franchise QB...
take Little in the 1st and take Smith in 2nd now you have your new LT & LG... we already have our RT, then we need to find our C & RG and we will be in business... but I know long shot...
I'm inclined to agree but I think Douglas can function better with less and Gase needs all the help he can get to protect Darnold because he certainly can't do it with schemes. Also there are other quality LTs in the upcoming draft that while not as good as Thomas are still good choices. So taking a defensive player with the first pick doesn't bother me as long as the "O" line gets completely fixed.

This is why I'm NOT rooting for the Jets to lose out. We can make the smart pick (LT) with a top eight pick. But with the #1 we'll be told we MUST take the DL, and it will be business as usual. With no improvement to the O line Bell and Darnold might as well sit out the season and play chess. And then in three years time we'll trade the DL for a third rounder.
