2020 NFL Draft: New York Jets

This was a very successful step toward building up a new roster. In addition to the free agents brought in, that was 10 guys brought in via draft picks and trade. At least 3 or so starters, not including a new starting punter. Good depth on the OL, in the secondary, a true #2 QB. A lot of new talent, both top-end and depth, have joined the Jets today.

Say what you will, Douglas knows how to build a roster. It's a long-term process, but the man can really build a foundation.

I like the first two picks. But after watching the highlights, I feel that Becton will struggle at pass protection for at least part of his first season. He'll probably start at RT until he drops a little weight. The Jets drafted two defensive backs that didn't run the 40 at the combine? smh. I'm sure I'm missing something but that seems like two red flags. I think it was a decent draft (although not great).

I would have more concerns about Becton with the speed rush if he hadn't done so well in college against it. He rarely gives up a sack.

I felt the picks in Rd# 2, 3, 5, & 6 were strong picks. i was not a fan of Becton. I felt we should have grabbed one of the top WR's. Mims, Davis, Zniniga, the kid from UNC Charllote, Bryce Love, and the punter were all solid choices.
