Same amount of 1st round picks as Adams had INT’s. Just think what Douglas could have got if Adams actually made an impact.
Maybe not since Adam's is gone but there have been discussions happening regarding Maye. Pitt was one of the teams in talks for him.
Maye is a very good safety and not injured nearly as much as the fan base seems to think.
Butterscotch- to be a little clearer..I liked Adams’s game. He’s a great player. I did not like nor approve of his recent behavior, and how he handled this situation. I’ve been clear on that. Lastly, I don’t know the guy, so I have no opinion of him beyond that. So when I said I like Adams that was referring to his play on the field only.
Keep in mind that one of our best all-time players at center, Nick Mangold was the 29th pick in the draft. Lot's of great players are picked at the bottom of 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Its all about who is picking them, and how they fit into a well thought out plan. I'm comfortable JD will use this capital wisely.
keep in mind that Joe Douglas likes to trade down and stock pile picks... teams love to move back into the first round and give up a haul to do so, with that being said the back half picks could turn into multiple draft selections for this new regime...
But gives the jets the ammo to possibly move up in the first for someone that they might really like. Even if they stay put and don’t move, blue chip or not they will at worst get 2 of the top 32 chances of player picks.
We'd have to pay some team a big price to take him off our hands.

Don't know about 'upset', but certainly resigned. Is there any other franchise that ships out its #1 draft picks at such a rate?
taking the best player available in the draft has backfired severely...
taking the best player of need should be the goal moving forward, opening the idea of trading down and stockpiling while still getting that piece that fits the roster...
everyone was so happy when we drafted Leo because he fell into our lap but he ended up being used out of place and his play wasn't as productive unless they don't repeat that with Quinnen the same will be true with him...
Gotta give Leo credit he was a mature individual but his play was turned off because we used him improperly...

Well they are trying to change the culture. Me first guys like Jamal Adams, who is immensely talented and a great player are not going to fit in with that. Adams already was bitchin' on Twitter about his flight being so early for Seattle. Yeah he has since deleted it and he did put in the mandatory LOL to make it look good but it just shows his sense of entitlement. Adams wants to be paid and paid well but he is still a safety. No way he signs a long term deal in Seattle if He doesn't wise up. You want to be paid like a Superstar? Then act like one ON and Off the Field.
