Lawrence, Fields or Darnold?

I realize at this point that most Jets fans are going to choice Lawrence or Fields over Darnold, me included but let’s look at the possibilities here. This all is centered around the Jets firing that asshole Gase and hiring a real HC (first and foremost). If they don’t do that than drafting Lawrence or Fields won’t make a bit of a difference. Neither is Superman and that’s what you’ll need to win with Gase as HC.

Back to my point, once, if and hopefully after they fire Gase and hire the right guy which way should they go? The Jets have an excellent amount of drafts picks coming up this year already and can add to that greatly by trading out of the likely #1 pick. They can keep Darnold and surround him with some real young talent and free agents this year. This will obviously help any QB show his true talent. Darnold included I believe!

Or they can trade Darnold for hopefully a late first or high second and draft Lawrence and build around him. Last choice would be to trade Darnold anyway, trade out of the #1 also to #2-5 and draft Fields and build around him. Keep in mind once Darnold is traded, he will most likely go to a team that’s playoff ready and he’ll show himself to being a true franchise QB. Just like what Tannehill is doing in Tennessee.

So what’s it going to be Jets faithful, Lawrence, Fields or Darnold? For now I’m going to go with Lawrence because he seems to have all the goods but Fields is right on his ass!

In the NFL you can never have too many good QBs. You also never turn down a generational QB when he comes along. I like Sam and I still think he can be a hell of a QB but! If I have choice of Lawrence on a rookie contract while this team still needs rebuilding or paying Darnold when he still hasn't proven himself as a franchise QB? I will go for Lawrence in a heartbeat.

if so, I'd keep Darnold and take that.

So I recorded the Ohio State vs. Indiana game today and I’m watching it now. This kid Fields looks damn good. I recorded or thought I recorded the Clemson game also but that was postponed. I don’t know which quarterback the Jets are going to choose and it doesn’t really matter between the two, I just hope it’s the right guy because as good as Lawrence is, this kid Fields looks damn damn good.

So I recorded the Ohio State vs. Indiana game today and I’m watching it now. This kid Fields looks damn good. I recorded or thought I recorded the Clemson game also but that was postponed. Read an article in Athletic (Connor Hughes) this am on whether Fields is the answer at QB. He had an awful lot of negatives to say about the Buckeye QB. Indiana was the first non-creampuff OSU has played this year and they won in spite of Fields, not because of him. I'm paraphrasing here, but Fields holds the ball too long and some of his decisions are horrible. Ohio State has incredible talent surrounding the QB and he should be much better. If we don't have the #1 pick, I think either we trade down or take the Oregon OT. So many needs like edge, CB, TE, IOL or WR, a trade down might be best bet regardless.

The whole Roster needs rebuilding........AGAIN. Stockpiling picks is the way to go. Gase has to go. The QB Killer cannot stay. I really believe Lawrence will not be a Jet. The Kid is too smart to come to this QB Killing Franchise. If Gase is gone maybe but I doubt it.

CEO Chris Johnson has both GM & HC reporting to him...
GM Joe Douglas stated the HC is a part of the rebuild not just this season...
HC Adam Gase talks about evaluating Sam Darnold with the door open that he will be a part of if it is Sam or Trevor or who else...
If anyone will be the scape goat it will be Dowell Loggains & Gregg Williams as play callers on offense and defense...
They will use the covid excuse this year and reiterate how the team gelled last year to rebound from 1-7 start finishing 7 - 9...
Will use the excuse there was no off season to allow these players to get in game shape...

Just putting everything out there, that may happen and if it does you and everyone here will be well prepared to bitch and moan about...

If I was Joe Douglas I would pressure Woody over Chris to gain full control as GM... Then fire Gase, Loggains, Williams and several position coaches... Start fresh make these two moves, hire Joe Brady as HC, then hire, Marvin Lewis (Former Bengals HC) back in 2000 both JD & Lewis were a part of the Ravens Super Bowl Team (JD was a scout then). Lewis would be a great personnel move as DC and Assistant HC behind Brady...

Regardless who is the QB next year, the team will be better for it...

You only replace Darnold if you believe Lawrence is a once-in-a-generation talent. Otherwise, you're just changing for change's sake.
