I get it Jets faithful, under the same coaching staff and with this current team, the results would be the same with Trevor Lawrence. They may have won three games at most with Trevor. So I get it, Trevor Lawrence isn’t God and he needs the right coaching staff, GM and teammates around him to help him win. Even under the right CS, GM and teammates, this team will be rebuilding over the next 2-3 years. So they may only win three games with him next year anyway.
The point here is that Trevor appears to have all the goods. The right demeanor, talents, leadership and mentality to help the Jets win and this interview right here tells that he’s ready for it. He’s not running away from it like some of the media is trying to predict, advise or forecast. There is so much hype surrounded around this kid and I am SO HYPED for this to happen. The Jets have to lose the next three games to make sure we can draft this kid and even more, to make sure that the Johnson’s have no choice but to fire Adam Gase.

This is my last stand with the Jets. If they screw this up, I don't have the energy to keep doing the same thing over and over. 2020 has taught me I really don't give a shit about sports and can live a much more stress free life without them.

Weren’t the Colts the laughing stock of the NFL and drafting(remember Mel Kiper) before Manning showed up, and after Manning left, for a bit.
What about the Broncos and Elway, Dolphins were down quite a bit before Marino and after he left.
It’s rare a team goes from one HOF QB to another Favre/Rodgers, Montana/Young, you get the point. But it all has to start somewhere.
Aikman/Smith/Irving had to start somewhere.

It’s obvious that Trevor is headed to the Jets or Jaguars and the Jets have the lead on him so far. Plus Patrick is a Jets fan so there’s a vested interest there anyway. Trust me I get it but I think the Jets actually have a chance this time. Hiring Joe Brady for example or the Oklahoma Sooners HC and drafting Trevor Lawrence is a great start. Throw in the other 9-10 drafts picks we have this year and the fact that JD will most likely gets us at least a 2nd to 3rd rounder for Darnold this year. Along with the Becton and Mims, plus the others in the draft last year. Can’t forget about $80 million under the cap this year and this could turn around rather quickly.
