You make a good point but there are both pros and cons with coming here just like everywhere else. The biggest drawback is our reputation as losers but that's more on management, coaches etc.. and ownership than it is on players. There aren't very many top of the line players on this team right now for sure but these guys are fighters and some of them are talented enough to build around. So if your the guy interviewing for the job and you believe in yourself you will assume, rightly so, that the management problem is taken care of. If you also believe that you can deal with the owners, admittedly a tough situation, then the job suddenly becomes much more attractive with a base of players that you can add to to build the team, a bunch of really good draft picks, and plenty of cap space. I can see why someone would see this as an opportunity. The real icing on the cake is knowing that if you succeed in turning this team into real contenders you will immediately be considered to be the best coach to ever be part of the NFL. Many would find that alone quite appealing. So.............is it the best job available ? Probably not, but it does have an opportunity for the right coach to create something special.
