Could JD be pondering a trade for Nick Foles?

somewhere, I think on wfan, they talked about what if the Jets got Foles. I remember someone was against it because if Zach(spelled correctly
) stunk in a game, we'd be calling for Foles.

only via trade will they save $4 M guaranteed, they would eat it otherwise reason they won't cut him
and we have three 6th round picks, one of them is more than enough to secure that transaction, with JD he may even get a 2023 7th in return with Foles
Why would they keep him as a 3rd string QB?
They can get Nick Mullens when healthy for free so to speak.
Give them a 6th and get back Foles and a 5th.
See how much they want to clear that 4 million.
I don't see him spending draft capital of any kind for a backup QB. Signing Mullins seems far more likely.

Foles has the problem that he is not mobile - at all. Could not run some of what one would be running with the new guy.
On the other hand, he has a track record of NFL performance.
Mullens is recovering from an injury with a supposed six months recovery time....is he healthy? will he sign for a backup role?
I would not give up a pick for Foles - and I love the possibility that Chicago might give up something in order to move Foles 4 million contract. Thats a market question - does someone else have cap room and need a backup QB? if so, Chicago can negotiate.
