Jets as of RN could clean up and rebuild the OL with three power house OL with the first three picks.

Joe Douglas believes in the players on the OL & DL are essential positions...
Look at how this past draft went to fill holes on the roster they drafted day 3 safeties to convert to linebackers...
They gave a former first round pick a chance to show that his style can fit in the NFL in Jarrad Davis the possible replacement for CJ Mosley long term, if not they will draft another safety or two to do just that replace both of them...
On offense you don't need first round prospects at skill positions but you can strike get lucky or find first round talent that have slipped in the draft for various reasons... Some players are lifers with a team and some are in revolving door meaning trade chips after second or third year...

By doing all of this, yes the entire starting five of the OL can continue to get paid while key individuals on the DL can also reap the rewards of a fine contract... Some players like Bryce Huff a long shot to make an active 53 as a priority free agent the odds are stacked against him, but there are always players of that talent overlooked and their contracts are ridiculously affordable to a team with top heavy contracts in key positions...

That is why Joe Douglas loves day 3 draft picks it allows him to continue to build the team around what he believes is the core roster...

Need a vet Center that can be the leader calling out blitzes telling who has who on line and calling out lazy O Lineman. All that while have his QBs back. This add with a big mean RB and a top Wrs . Im tired of little speed running around RBs. I want to brat up Pats Defense with Run and after tired make them chase WRs.

you need a competent center, doesn't need to be a veteran either way whomever comes in has to learn the playbook and from the position coach then will teach them the line calls against many defenses... no matter what playing time will only help develop any center that is brought in here...

McGovern is under contract til next season, so center is not a need but there is a top center in the draft that has Hall of Fame talent... There is no way to pass up on him, because the talent over the next five years this position will drop off immensely...

Our receivers are and have potential, they will need to continue to add to this position through the draft... Corey Davis in his second contract and will continue to grow... We need Denzel Mims to continue to develop while same goes with Elijah Moore and Jeff Smith...

The question is the runningback by committee seems like a big joke but they will continue to build the back field through the draft with late second day early third day prospects eventually we will continue to find prospects like Michael Carter...

I felt like we would have a top 1-3 pick in the Draft and sell for a Kings ransom for a QB needy team. It seems the QB's are not worthy of a kings ransom this year. So where ever we fall it looks like we'll draft a RG and what Joe D wants with our other high 1st Rd pick, plus 2 #2's.

Joe Douglas knows we need a center then tackle because we have McGovern if need be can move to guard but this draft with our draft pick selections we can fill the needs in the first three rounds...

oh we need a Center....McGovern is out of position and a big cause of the problems handling stunts/blitzes. He can play RG and that could solve that hole.

If Jets end up in top 3....and have a shot at the Thibodeaux kid, you have to take him. No guarantee Lawson gets back to same level with that type injury (track record is bad). If he does rebound - BONUS!

Walter Football usually does all seven rounds as we get closer to draft day.
But they tend to be "best available" player. They've have missed badly when teams draft to fill a specific need, but are generally pretty good.

A Center would be great. If we are drafting in the top 5, I can't see us picking a Center. If Seattle's pick is somewhere between 12 - 16 there is a good chance we would come up empty. A trade up would have to be in the works. I would hate to give up one of our #2's.

Hello, or did you forget that JD will move up if he has too as he did last draft to get AVT...

At the end day trying to determine where we will end up is nerve racking but right now the projection sets us up to be able to get a center and a tackle in the first which solves a lot of problems...

I don't see us taking 2 Offensive linemen in the first Rd. With the laziness of our current LT another LT may be looked at in the coming draft, with Becton moving to RT or RG. We will see what happens during the rest of the seasons. I would like to see Joe D to take 2 OL in the 1st Rd this year as its a strong year for OL and there is a top Center for the taking. In the Mocks, I've seen him going as high as 6th to the Giants. So he is considered a hot commodity.

our GM is a former OL and he will take OL or DL in the first before anyone else just because that is what he knows...

no matter who is the HC, OC, or DC the GM will draft what he believes is essential...

Our O-line is far from complete, but honestly I'm tired and spending our to draft pick on O line every year! We still need a Stud WR, and our LB corp is not what it should be (Mosley is not a 4-3 MLB), and with no Carl Lawson we still have no intimidating edge rusher
