I think he is worth a little more than $3 M annual
especially if he is a part of the offense too
like I said before, somewhere today
he should see a contract 4 years anywhere between $14 - 22 Million in total
I mean they literally designed plays for him
just for discussion purposes but yes the team needs players like himIt doesn't matter to me what we pay him since we have so much flexibility and its not my money. I do think he needs to be rewarded for his loyalty and his desire to get better and make an impact at any position.
Just make him a part of this team period . That kid has earned his wings . If all of our players displayed his passion for the game we will be a playoff contender in no time and for some time.
Answers:asking for a friend?
1) is he worth re-signing
and
2) at what cost?
What he saidAnswers:
1) Are you fu**ing kidding? Of course he is.
2) 3 years, up to $12 million -total. (And a little more if that is a deal breaker.)

Crowder was supposed to make 20 mil this year but settled for 5 mil and Berrios outplayed him and also starts at 2 other positions for the team . You’re undervaluing the guy .I would love to keep Berrios. I thought he was outstanding in everything he was asked to do . It would be a political plus for the team to retain him. Coaches like him, team mates like him, fans like him. Perhaps a 2-3 year deal at $2 to $2.5 mill per year with a guaranty should do it

Not sure what his monetary value really is. I went off Pattersons deal with ATL. Patterson is older, but does have a better resume in being a three way threat . I would be ok with 3 yr $9mm with most of it front loadedI would love to keep Berrios. I thought he was outstanding in everything he was asked to do . Ever heard of Mickey Shuler or Jerome Barkum ?PS: I think a game breaking X-Factor TE can make all of our WRs and QB look so much better. Especially Braxton Berrios over the middle of the field.
Denver with Shannon Sharpe.
Colts with Dallas Clark.
Saints with Jimmy Graham.
Dallas with Jason Witten.
Chargers with Antonio Gates.
Patriots with Rob Gronkowski.
Chiefs with Travis Kelce.
Etc etc.
Would any of those offenses been the same, without those TEs?
It's been so long since we've had a nightmare TE that all of us Jets fans forget how much an awesome TE makes an entire Offense more dynamic (especially for younger QBs).
It's sad how I still miss Dustin freaking Keller.
Top of the 2nd round I would like a linebacker but I won’t complain if we take a TE . Lord knows we need a fewSpeaking of Shuler (1978-1989) and Barkum (1972-1983)...
It's been a long time coming since any of our Jets QBs have ever been blessed with awesome game changing and impactful TE's, hasn't it?
I really like Jalen Wydermyer a lot as a TE prospect. At a position of severe need too. If he's available 2nd round? I think he's the pick.
Boy ain't this the truthAnd he isn't like most of the Jets players that took the money and never performed again.
