Where are they finding the cap space to sign all these players? What good is a salary cap if you can trample it like the Rams are doing.
On a side note I would hate to be the next HC of the Rams . Mcvay is doing to their future cap what the former Saints coach did to his before leaving a mess for the new guy to clean up.

back loaded contracts, signing bonuses. restructuring of larger contracts taking base salaries and making them prorated signing bonus which lowers the cap charge for players like Aaron Darnold, Cooper Kupp, etc.

It’s not yet time for such moves . We have the makings of a team, but we’re still not sure about far too many of our foundation players.

Until we have answers to these questions especially about Wilson why mortgage the farm.
I agree but we have been one of the worst teams in the NFL for a decade.
build the foundation which is D line, O line and Tight Ends. then next off season will be replace a couple linebackers and continue to add to the newly designed foundation put in place this year

Can’t argue that. I also won’t blame this coaching staff for the failure of those before them . This is the first time since Walt Michaels built the sack exchange that the Jets actually have a plan and both the front office and coaching staff are working in concert to execute said plan .
