it did - but it can be better and a sign of when that happens is when Quincy is replaced.........great effort guy, but I need to see more discipline in his play before I sign up for him as an answer.

I cannot imagine two good drafts and an improving team is enough to end the national mantra of SOJ.
Joe Douglas has proven himself, both in trades and the draft, to be one of the best GMs in the league. And yet there is still a perception of the Jets being dysfunctional. The whole SOJ thing isn't based on evidence, it's based on anti-Jets and anti-NY emotion.
He is still young. and perhaps will always be a chasing LB in the running game, but we can absolutely keep our fingers crossed he becomes a complete OLB.
He was brought in for a visit. I do not recall hearing that he signed. Did he?

No. Too slow. I don't see how he would translate to this scheme. Especially with guards, you need guys who have a quick first step, can check playside and backside, and then get up to the second level. Guys need to have the kind of feet that can reach block and get on LBs. He is not that guy.
He is young and versatile, which is good. But I don't know if his feet fit the Jets.
Not sure he has the athleticism to fit what the Jets want out of their guards.

I think they pivoted to another former 49er. A safety/LB hybrid. Probably a Saleh guy. Can’t remember his name.
he did get up and leave. then he hit a few big home runs to win a few games and got the losers to believe they were winners because of it. gotta believe you will win or you probably wont.
I once asked my buddy that played in the nfl if bad teams went into the season expecting to win or if they knew they were bad. he said if you were bad, you knew it.

LOL. I gotta admit it I'm a fool like everyone else. Im like Tug. You Gotta Believe. Every year coming into the Season I think of having that one "can do no wrong" Season. You know that one Season were everything goes right, every bounce goes your way, as does every Call. That one Season where it just all goes right. I used to think that was luck. Now I know it comes from having an outstanding Coach,GM, and Organization. I think the Jets finally have that in JD and Saleh. Now all they have to do is build that Organization and remove the stigma that bad decisions and buffonery have placed on being a Jet. I believe these guys can do it. CAN'T WAIT.

I said last year prior to the season it all depends on how quickly the roster can understand their roles and learn the new system but warned everyone here that the majority of the roster were in their contract year so it was going to be more evaluation period and for the staff hoping most of the guys pan out. It was evident early they did not get through to Zach who struggled and tried to be the 'Hero Ball'. It is amazing to hear our Pod Guys like @Jets Talk 24/7 & @Jets Today and Green Bean, even NFL Chaos with Jeremy use that reference, it validates what I was saying. Last five games coming back from injury he realized three not one but three other quarterbacks excelled so if he buys in he could be the guy to take the offense over the top. Now this off season he has gotten the ultimate boarding pass to visit all his receivers, running backs and tight ends to work out with them. No news on him traveling to see his OLM but guarantee he has at least zoomed with them.
