No it's not a waste of a draft pick. Flacco needs to be replaced with a viable backup and Wilson is not out for the season. Trading for a suitable backup for Wilson is a better idea than tanking the season (which is a horrible effing idea).

White is a perfectly viable backup for Wilson, the problem is that we can't produce an offensive line which is as stout as those of the rest of the league. Perhaps they will solidify after a week of practice together in their current alignment. But we are thin in depth and we will be lucky if fourth round pick Mitchell immediately cements the right tackle position.

That's fine if you think that White is viable. I think he should start against Cleveland.

My suggestion on trading for a backup was on the premise that Mike White started while Wilson was hurt but didn't work out.

They are so serene and enjoyable to listen to if your a fan a the standards

The day after week 17, before the playoffs, the N.Y. media had prescribed (JD was aware) to build up the OL.
Here we are............35 weeks later.

Garret is a psycho that likes hurting people and Flacco is the perfect (almost) sitting target. White will be in before the end of the first half and we may just see Strev make an appearance.

I agree Garret is a pretty dirty player. His numbers are beastly but I've never been a fan because their are constant late dirty hits with that guy.

That being said, our O-Line did a heckuva job today keeping him under control! Fantastic job by the O-Line

Admittedly, I can’t give an expert analysis of o-line play. But from what I saw, the line kept Flacco upright and gave him time. Only two sacks and a few more pressures against a beast of a pass rush. Run blocking was avaerage.

I’m pleasantly surprised by the rookie Max Mitchell. Seeing that guy step in and not have any major problems is a positive development for the team. I was worried when D. Brown went down. Not anymore.
