God, why are we New York Jets fans???

Are we just a glutton for punishment? Are we all stupid? Do we just want to root for the underdog team? Especially being that the Giants play in the same damn stadium and state and they have won 4 Super Bowls. Did the Joe Namath days (who actually witnessed him play) hypnotize them and those who didn’t see him play got hypnotized by someone else? What is it because this is ridiculous? It just feels like we’ll never get this right!

I’ve always said to any and everyone, even to myself many of times that it would be just my luck, that as soon as I turned my back on this team, they’d win a Super Bowl just to spite me!

1982 AFC Championship game for me. My first game watching the Jets. I didn’t even know NY had a NFL team. I was 12 years old and hooked from that point on. 40 years later and I’m still dealing with this madness! SMDH

I wanted to be a Giants fan because of the red, white, and blue colors. But my dad made me a Jets fan. My uncle told me that he went from being a Giants fan to a Jets fan but never told me why.

My dad was an inaugural season ticket holder and kept his tickets for 20 seasons. Growing up, my dad was miserable when watching the Jets. I would cringe when the Jets made mistakes because I had to listen to my dad expressing his frustration with the team. I'd watch TV in a different room. Later in life, he mellowed out regarding the team's gaffes.

I get tired of this pretty quickly. I have no patience. When I see the brick wall and we're headed at it with all gas and no brakes, I jump off. They're still my favorite team. But not worth my time or money.

I can't believe you guys are all too young to know the real reason that you are stuck in Jets fan mode. I thought everyone knew this. There's this old woman in Brooklyn, name of Eva, who's a witch. Eva is no ordinary witch. She is a football witch. Shes sees all and hears all regarding football. If she sees you, hears you, or senses you, no matter where you are in the world, doing or saying anything that might indicate that you like the Jets, even a little, she makes a voodoo doll in your image. She staples a label on the doll which reads, Jets Fan Forever, and throws it in a large crate never to be seen again, where it festers for as long as you live. I thought you all knew.
