This is where we Brits have the advantage over you Americans. All the NFL rights are owned by one subscription channel (Sky) so if you have Sky Sports you are good to go.
I'm from the era when there were three national channels: CBS, NBC and ABC. We also had four local channels, 5, 9, 11 and 13, the last of which was what we now call PBS. Every show and game was broadcast and free.

ah, the good old days of Mets on channel 9, Yankees on 11, etc., all on the black and white TV. We had to go to a neighbor's house to watch the 69' Super Bowl in color (Channel 4 that year I believe).

You haven't lived until you had to sit through my father checking Italian Serie A scores on Channel 47. Actually, sitting is incorrect as I had to fiddle constantly with the UHF antenna just to get a barely viewable picture through all the "snow". lol

Well said Rep. Ryan. Goodell is a greedy prick. I never expected an NFL playoff game to be a "pay to view".

Perfect game to do this crap with imho . I’m sick of the Taylor swift crap and I seriously have no interest in the fish unless it’s on my dinner plate.

The sun shine boy’s ought to love that weather. I remember the Jints going to Green Bay and beating the Packers when Tom Coughlin face looked frost bitten.
I still remember watching this one on TV. The "Ice Bowl" in Green Bay started out with temps of -13.

This is a classic NFL moment by the late Bart Starr.

The biggest slap in the face to fans is that it's a friggin' Playoff Game! KC-Miami has the potential to be a great game.
My friend has the Cock already so I don't have to pay for it and I wouldn't pay for it. She also jumped on the Rodgers train and bought YTTV and Sunday Ticket. I warned her. She also bought a Rodgers real jersey. She's about $600 in on the Jets. I gave her shit for buying a Peloton, but at least she can hang her clothes from it.

Except home games of course but then again it was a kind of special listening to Merle Harmon call 'em while keeping a score card on the kitchen table. Then after, if the Jets won, a little black and white TV to watch the 4p AFL game on Ch.4. With only 8 or 9 teams in the league you got to know them all very well. there was a wonderful part of this that current and future generations will never experience. After games on TV in B&W, you go to your first game (at Shea of course) and you see the green of the grass and jerseys and the red of the opponents and it's a relevation

This Peacock thing is awful and it feels like rich guys reaching in to your pocket for more cash (especially bad a month ahead of NAMM) but it is the future of all television

Never thought we would stop going to the ballparks, but we did. Now I am starting to think that have thought that I just won't watch anymore at all. Just might be getting there.
