The Jets have a young talented OL going into a 2026 draft loaded with QB talent. They have a legit #1 WR under contract for a couple more years and some good RBs. While there are still upgrades to be made at TE and at WR2, isn't this actually a pretty good situation for a rookie QB to land in 2026? Plus, if Fields is going into his second and final contract season with a year of experience in it, wouldn't that be a good place for a QB to sit and learn for a year?
I know I am an eternal optimist with this franchise despite it constantly crushing my soul, but if this was any other franchise (aside from the Browns) with any other logo on their helmets, wouldn't we be looking at where they are and ask why we are never in a spot like this?
