Maybe he will break his leg next then your statement will be trueThis guy just can’t catch a break, no matter what. Jesus Christ!

However Myers is not as good at run blocking as Tippmann. So if we do this we downgrade two positions in an aspect which we pinned our hopes on.Tippmann has been struggling with snapping all pre season. Might be best to move him to guard.

I never pinned my hopes on our QB's wing.On a wing & a prayer
Sure we can find 'someone' to play guard, but we can forget about the roadgrading we saw from the right side of the line against the Packers. With the run game restricted it comes down to Fields throwing to the maligned receiver group.
If an interior lineman gets dinged and has to miss some plays or series, Newman has to come in and Tippmann has to possibly shuffle back to center. If a second guy goes down I believe Max Mitchell has played some at guard or it is Levao elevated from the PS. And playing both centers on every snap elevates the risk of being left with an emergency center.
Apparently this late in the day we have few options for a replacement apart from asking guys to 'unretire' and we know how that usually goes. Also Samuel Jackson may have to pause his acting career and rejoin the Jets PS.
LMAO. Road grading on the right side......Next man up. Saved a ton of money. Thank you JD!! You are the gift that keeps on giving.Torn tricep. Out for season
In fairness AVT has been one of the few Jets who is a Pro Bowl contender. Nobody could have anticipated that he would tear triceps in both arms in separate incidents. It would have been easier to predict that Cam Clark would have a spinal problem.Next man up. Saved a ton of money. Thank you JD!! You are the gift that keeps on giving.
In 5 seasons, he has appeared in 44 games , he was very good last year , but not all pro or even pro bowl caliber. Unfortunately, he just can't stay healthy. When you compare him to ather guards taken in later rounds, he is 3rd at best, but his 3 missed seasons place him much lower . Factor in the cost to draft him and Douglas failed even worse by selecting him. A first and two third round picks was too high a price for any guard. Especially for one who has produced one good season out of 5...... The 2021 draft was one of Douglass's worst. Not only for the players he drafted, but for the talent he passed upIn fairness AVT has been one of the few Jets who is a Pro Bowl contender. Anyhow today has come and gone with no moves from Moggie, so it looks like we're ridin' it in. Set the controls for the heart of the Sun.
So I'm guessing you're releasing him when his rookie contract expires. In 5 seasons, he has appeared in 44 games , he was very good last year , but not all pro or even pro bowl caliber.
