It all looked good in the preseason. In my opinion the wheels came off when AVT injured himself in training just before Week 1 and the rush-heavy offense went out the window. Things were exacerbated when Glenn got Allen injured using him as a kick returner.

I reckon we need to draft a starting-caliber guard, possibly in the second round, as we can't trust AVT to stay healthy and the Jets clearly don't rate Xavier Newman.

As for QB, I think we are going to have to trade for Mac Jones as particularly if we win more games it is going to cost too much to trade up for a gamble on one of the three rated QBs. Some here don't like Jones but he is better than anything we've got.

Then again we might have to draft Jeremiyah Love if we screw up the Breece Hall situation and he ends up leaving for nothing.

Saying that, they'd likely get a 5th round pick that potentially could rise to a 4th based on re-signing, playing-time, play-off success in 2026.
