There are going to be a few teams passing the Jets, including the Deadskins after they lose to Denver tonight. Meanwhile Tennessee, N'Awleans, Cleveland and the Faiders are taking care of business.
There is just an abnormally high number of shitty teams this year. Jets are definitely not the worst.

I'm seeing an argument from Youtube pundits that it is a good thing that the Jets win as many of the remaining games as possible because of dressing room morale, and that 'the draft will take care of itself'. I can see an argument for not losing out, but garbage time wins have very little impact on next season, particularly against tanking teams like the Saints, and we will feel the negative effect next year when we watch the Browns, Saints and Raiders with their shiny new QB while we are stuck with somebody like Marcus Mariota as a 'bridge' to nowhere. The QBs for the next draft are Arch (if Uncle Peyton doesn't tell him to refuse to report), C J Carr (the next Rick Mirer), or Sayin just as our previous OSU QB goes out the door, plus we are supposed to be better next year and not in position to draft a top prospect.
Perhaps a satisfactory outcome would be 1-4 with the one win coming at home against the Patriots, preventing us from being swept by our division.
