I posted several times I'm open to everything, including trading back a few spots. I think we are going to be moving up as several teams ahead of us play each other and lesser teams. If we can lose to the Saints we could pick as early as 3. Drop back add another 1 next year, a second and or third this year and load up for the next QB. I'd love to see Boston drafted. I'm honestly not sold on either Tackle. Need LB, DT, Safety as well.

I think the majority of the fan base is missing the fact that this team has been setting up for the future and have really taken a shit situation and are now poised for a complete remake.
Have to look at the entire picture. This was a 5 win team with Aaron Rodgers, Devonte Adams and others, stripped down to bare bones and still more competitive. The dead cap, and lack of talent cost the season, but the moves made should pay off

I see what they've done.
I just don't agree that what they are doing on Offense works.
Let's see who the Moug drafts and what direction they go in that draft.
If they do what I think they will it's going to piss people off.

I think it's still too soon to have any realistic ideas on what they will do come draft day. Too many moving parts still in place. Draft positions are far from set. There are multiple scenarios that can play out and until they do, speculation is pointless.

If we can grab him with no 1st round pick trade up then I'm all for it, but this team currently constructed will ruin him. We need to get another WR, RB and possibly guard. I would like to keep our picks and draft WR Jordyn Tyson and then RB Jeremyah Love. Breece will probably be gone next year and Metchie sucks unless he is WR4. AD Mitchell can't be trusted a WR2. Grab a guard in 2nd round and then all defense. Then grab a QB next year. I think we will have a top 5 pick and unless Philip Rivers plays like he did in 2010 we will be looking at a top 15 pick from the Colts.

We will 100% regret trading 1st round picks for Mendoza. Or any QB for that matter.

The way they go in the draft will give us an idea of what their thinking is going forward.

1000% on the money.
If they can draft Mendoza without moving, I would consider it. You have too but I would rather Tyson. I don't think they use that 2ND 1st on Offense. If they did I would be ecstatic but I don't see Glenn not picking a DL.
Just don't use draft capital to trade for a Veteran QB.
No more of that bullspit.

Makai Lemon is mocked to the Jets alot more than Tyson.
I would be good with that pick in the 1st.
We are all forgetting we have a defensive HC.
Don't be surprised if he goes D early.

Mendoza is a pretty good pocket passer behind a very good "O" line. Our "O" line isn't quite there yet. He's not really a duo threat QB which this offense is designed to work best with. Yes, I know he can run, but he clearly isn't a threatening run QB. I personally think he's a little light framed to take the punishment that NFL defenses dish out. I suppose that could be fixed in the weight room. So I guess what I'm sensing is that he might be a franchise QB but I am just not confident enough in that to give up much draft capital to find out. My gut feeling is that if the Jets do draft him they had better also pick up a really good vet in free agency to replace him if he flops.

I guess that depends on what we consider really good. In our case it means better than what we already have in both skill level and ability to stay healthy enough to be available. There are several QBs that will be free agents at the end of the season. This list is from the PFF site. Do you see any that are not better than what we have ? LOL

That's very possible. The extension was " in the works " when this article went to print. Some of the others may be in negotiations with their respective teams as well. We won't know if any of these guys will actually be available until free agency starts, but their current contacts expire at the end of the season. If the Jets can't land a worthwhile free agent QB they better swing a trade for one somehow. I have no confidence in the QB class entering this upcoming draft.

Rumors today were the Jets trading for Burrow. This is not happening, but Jet fans won't let a good rumor go to waste.
