It seems the Jets have the OL in a good spot, especially at the bookends and with Tippmann. Still might need to solidify the interior a little more long-term, but a young QB would come into a team with a good line and good weapons, both pass catchers and rushers. That bodes well for next year's draft.
Really? They're thin on IOL. If the same thing happens as last year and a starter gets injured the week before the season starts, we have Xavier Newman backed up by this round #6 draft pick who apparently gets 'lost in space'.
I don't love the IOL depth. That is the biggest concern.
When it comes to the Cooper pick in the 6th round, I don't love his game on the second level. He's potentially good depth, but like any Day 3 pick, he has flaws.
The one difference between last year and this is that the walking injury, AVT, is gone. Parham is at worst a neutral to Simpson. The starting unit is as good, with another year of experience for the three main young guys. But yes, depth on the inside is still a question. Hopefully that can be resolved with an unexpected veteran cut toward the end of camp.
Yeah.................The "O" line is decent, not yet what I call good. They drafted a guard with the last pick that might very well develop into good and a replacement at center would put a smile on my face. Center is far and away the weak spot on the "O" line.
Starters are good. I would say that. And with so many younger guys, the line as a whole will be getting better.
The good news with C is that if a stud OG came along, Tippmann could slide back to C, though he showed himself to be a better guard than center.
I just wanted Mr. T to announce the pick. He could be a prognosticator.

Got it. Feels better hearing this than he’s a fumbling machine.
Ok. So now we just need to suck this season so we can draft a top QB, but at the same time we need to not suck so bad that all the players throw in the towel.

Don't worry they are going to suck.
Think his drops were concentration related, trying to turn upfield before securing the ball. We're all easy catches. Did better when contested, or with difficult catches. Being a jet, he sould never see easy catches,,,,Yes....... they did mention that he needed to work on his drop problem. He had ( 6 ) drops last season which means he's going to suck big time just like Amari Cooper who in his last college season had ( 8 ) drops.
Really like Jackson. Was the anchor of the FSU D. Team in turmoil ,poorly coached. I think Dunbar will Really help him become a very good player
I see an upturn in my crystal ball, which they have partly facilitated by setting a low baseline.

Plus there are all the guys we are getting back from injury. The only position we are weaker at is kicker. In our division two teams have new HCs and the Patriots are no longer a surprise.
Besides, I'm still not seeing these can't-miss FQBs who are coming out in 2027 and how the Jets guarantee that they won't be hoovered up by teams higher in the draft than us. The QB class seems to consist of guys who had second thoughts this year, like Moore and Sellers, plus Golden Arch. Perhaps Mendoza's kid brother will be there.

I definitely think they will be just good enough to fall out of top 10. Let's hope the top 4 picks are impact players.
