Who does THIRD PERSON have the One Gas Station town near Milwaukee Packers selectionHOU trades up, the Jets trade with #16 CAR instead.
Take THAT - oh caped one, (who wears his garanimals on the OUTSIDE of his trowsers). :smiley-finger004:
I was high on Cook last year and hoped he would declare for the draft while we were losing big time. No such luck so he is top of my list now but I do like Hack and Goff and would be happy with anyone of them.
Those are my 3 preferences, just hack, cook, and goff in that order. I would be happy with any of them, just worried about them going 1-3.
Why Hack over Cook?
BIGGEST UPSIDE: Cardale Jones
If you just splice Ohio State's offensive pass plays from last year, you can basically watch all of Cardale Jones' tape in about an hour, but what you would see in that hour will have GM's and scouts salivating at his potential. What they will see is a physically massive pocket passer straight out of central casting, with an absolute cannon for an arm and startling accuracy considering how long he was on ice before being pressed into duty, and he played in enormous games with serious national championship implications, eventually leading his team to the national title.
Right now we don't even know if he's going to be the starter for the Buckeyes on opening day much less where he will be drafted, but if he wins that job as I believe he will, and looks anything like the guy we saw down the stretch last year, this kid has a real chance to be the # 1 Overall Pick.

Hackenberg & Cook you can basically pencil in as TOP 10 LOCKS right now, both in contention for the # 1 Pick.
You wish Goff was just a little bigger, but he's a legit TOP 10 talent too, terrific passer, could be the next Drew Brees.
Not trying to bust balls, 55 -- serious question. I didn't watch much PSU football this past season, and I willsave the film study for next January, but Hackenberg's numbers were not good at all this past season. Below 60% completions, more picks than TDs.
Why the drop off after a solid freshman season?
Oline took a huge step back, O'brien left giving him all new coaches and system, he also lost Allen Robinson but has a top 7 hs recruit class with a top RB, WR, and 3 4+ star oline man. He will be better in the second year in this new offensive system. But I can tell you if you watch his film, he was still amazing beyond the numbers. He was consistently money in the 4th quarter. Watch his film. The ball explodes out of his hand. He's special.
I will follow him closely in the NFL regardless of the team that drafts him.

Good Point on Goff, he needs more meat on his bones, but he can fling it. I like your comparison more than mine.Hey, while I agree goff needs to put on some weight, 210, because he's a bit thin, while he may be very much like Brees, no doubt, you have to admit Brees relies on passing lanes and moving the pocket, because he's 5'10. Goff is a true 6'4 natural pocket passer that stands and delivers. Which is why I compare him to Derrick Carr. That talk, long, lean stand and deliver QB that has a live arm...at least romo strong. I like him too.
Who would you compare Jones to? The best I've come up with is a cross between Winston and Cam. He's not as mobile as Cam, but moved well, and is big/huge like both of them at 6'5 250. Maybe he has some Big Ben in his game also. But to your point he doesn't have enough experience for me to be too comfortable with selling the farm to get him. The first 3 yes, but if be worried Jones has a huge gap to fill due to lack of experience. Hopefully he starts this year and puts those concerns to bed. He's a great interview though.![]()
Thats fair, he would be a lot better off if he's drafted by a dome team and/or one that plays in a warm weather division. If he came to the Jets, for example, you'd have to worry about how he can deal with the swirling winds at the Meadowlands when the weather turns cold, and Buffalo and NE are no picnics either. But if, for example, he landed in Houston, New Orleans or Arizona, arm strength would not be as big an issue at home or in the division.I'm not so sure about Goff. From the games I watched him, I was impressed with his play but I kinda doubt his arm ability.
You need to be exceptionally accurate and heady to survive with a sub par arm. Really hard to tell if ANY QB out of college has Penningtonesque smarts and accuracy. I think he will need that to thrive.
I just see him as far far more risk because of his arm strength
