The Jets are not a re-building team, grogan, what they are is a really good team with a huge question mark at QB.

How that question is answered will determine how good we are, but the rest of the roster is playoff caliber.

In fact this defense might be so strong that the QB will only be required to be average for them to win 10 Games.

You and I pretty much feel the same way about this team. We are built to win now and have not mortgaged our future. Mac is the man!

How you can call them a "really good" team is right up there with all those great Washington teams that loaded up on high priced free agents, how did those teams do on the field? The bottom line is the Jets are a 4-12 team because 4-12 is what they proved on the field. Look there is no doubt they "should" be better, but your already talking like the defense is the 85 Bears. The proof as you know comes on the field, and all the off season dreaming won't change that. I have them between 6-8 wins this season with an outside shot at a wildcard if the luck into some decent QB play. If you want to fit them for rings and an undefeated season feel free, after all it's the time of year when all objectivity goes out the window.

As a fan of NFL football, first & foremost ABOVE ANY team loyalties, HYATT™ can state with a certainty that he has rarely seen a defensive starter group as good as the Jets have in 2015, in ANY year since 1958.

This is a defense worthy of being listed right up there with Buddy Ryan's 46 CHI teams, the 49ers defenses of the 80s, the Steeler defenses of the 70s and the Lebeau era, & those BAL defenses throughout the '00 years.
It is a BETTER defense than the so-called "Legion of Boom" that just saw 2 consecutive Super Bowls.
Bradybich probably touches himself to deflate his balls every night, dreaming of playing with such a defense - even though his wife actually lQQks like she belongs in a football helmet & pads to hide that MANchin face and anorexic gnarly body of hers.

It is a RARE occasion when HYATT™ takes off his gloves and throws down on STUPID, (after all, even the Village Idjut could see the Emperor was naked - which apparently Patriots fans can't), but the post just issued from the keyboard of grogan14 presented such an insult to intelligence that the response was warranted.

The only high priced free agent was #24 , our own player, who we were dumb enough to let go. Was that a good signing? Was it a good signing for the Pats? I think it will improve one of the biggest problems on our team, and create a huge hole for the Pats. I think....

They were 8-8 two years ago without Decker, without Amaro, and with a rookie QB. And they didn't really lose much of anything from the past two seasons that they have not brought back.

So if 8-8 was a reasonable base, how could they be a 6-8 win team, when they now have Decker and Amaro (added for last year), a better, more experienced Geno, and then the additions for this year of Revis, Marshall, Fitzpatrick (if Geno isn't any better), Skrine, Gilchrist, Carpenter, Williams, and Smith?

Are you saying this roster is up to two games worse than the 2013 Jets roster?

Jets were bad last year because the roster was bad. Blame Rex all you want, but nobody would've won with that roster, not Lombardi, nobody. This roster is light years better. Same Qb issues, we know that. Offensive line is still not complete, but better than last year. If the Jets are healthy, Bowles has a group to compete with, at the very least

Brandon Marshall will have a great year but it won't be fully reflected in his stats. He'll be double teamed opening up the other receivers and cutting down on blitzes and when it counts, he'll make a couple of game winning catches on x and goal situations. Also look for few key blocks to spring a RB for a meaningful long gain.

a big open question will be the style of the offense - does it end up being spread it around among the receivers or does the offense, does Geno fix more on a primary and secondary receiver.....

I hope we see a spread it around approach - I think that is more likely to use well the Jets players - but that tendency will have a big effect on Marshall's numbers

He's going to be a classic DECOY. He's going to draw all of the double coverage from defenses leaving Erik Decker to clean up.

I would put his numbers at approximately the same amount as he had last season. In part, because of what I already posted and also because our QB's are just not good.

If you believe a 3/4 of pound of air is cheating when less than a decade ago there were no standards at all, then your going to have rough go of it life. If this was the Jets it would be a non-issue and Sack would be bitching about a 25 thousand dollar fine.
