I like them too, both groups, they were definitely gonna find this thread eventually, but since you brought it up, here's two of their songs that weren't hit records per say, but I think they should have been:

There won't be many of these, but occasionally I'll toss in something a little more recent that I like a lot, like this one.

How about an Eric Burdon set? Before he was with War, there was Eric Burdon and the Animals:

David Bowie, Starman, 1972

Pretty sure this is Bowie's first public appearance as the Ziggy Stardust character.

My Dad just told me my uncle bucky served in the army with elvis

That's cool!....

It just reminded me that my wife has her hair done by the woman sung about in David Bowie's China Girl. I was skeptical and looked it up and found a story in 1976 about an arrest of David Bowie along with Iggy Pop and another guy from his band and this China born woman for pot possession at 2:30 AM in Rochester NY. My wife found this out years after using her as a hair dresser when she started telling her about an old friend named Bob coming for a visit when he was in town... turns out she was talking about Dylan. My wife was blown away ... True story

Awesome video, Gold, thanks for posting it. I love Bowie and Ziggy Stardust was the album that hooked me way back in JHS, first year of JHS and I still remember listening to it in music class. Bowie and Pink Floyd were way ahead of their time.

Here's another forgotten classic from the same album: FIVE YEARS

Cool story. Never much cared for the song or most of the other stuff Bowie did in the 80s, but still a great story

Five Years is an awesome song. I have always loved the whole Ziggy Stardust album - one of those albums that should be in the discussion of great rock albums of all time. For me though it was the release of the Diamond Dogs album a couple of years later that really introduced me to Bowie - just the guitar riff on Rebel Rebel was enough to get me hooked.
