No. I'm not one of those people who is convinced I'm always right.
I hate that.
Kind of how I feel about fence sitters waiting to see which grass is greener to pick a side or finally have an opinion. surprised so many fence sitters are jets fans.

The most egregious was Atlanta trading a young Brett Favre to Green Bay, and why, because they already have an established QB (name escapes me) who was pretty good at the time, but nowhere's near elite, .
Yep, that was it, thanks Bigmoe.Chris Miller
I agree that the market has escalated since Rodgers signed his deal. But look at teams that have signed second tier QBs to first tier dollars. It deteriorates the rest of the roster.
I think Wilson is a very good QB, and based on the market, $20MM is reasonable. I don't like the market, but it's what it is. It just seems like an awful lot to trade a lot of value for him, only to sign him to a contract that will make you lose even more value to free agency.
Deal Mo as part of a package for Wilson. Sign Wilson to the huge extension he wants. Think you're keeping Richardson? Not a chance. Can't afford to upgrade the OL, or come up with a more permanent fixture at WR when Mashall is done.
But without that QB, you're an 8-8 team till those same players get old and cut anyway...do you want to spend players primes at 8-8 because you didn't get a QB?
It's the same, except until you acquire a QB, your wasting your seasons season after season...
Except that nobody who has one is trading a young franchise QB. What's been talked about endlessly here are young meh QBS like Kaepernick and Wilson who are barely amongst the top half of the list IMO.You're worried about the rest of the roster deteriorating but Nothing deteriorates a roster more than having a bad QB. The entire league has become QB centric, and designed to promote their play. I would trade Revis, Mo ANDRichardson for a YOUNG franchise quality QB. You are 10X as likely to find an elite DL or CB than you are a QB.
Having stability at the QB position would do more to improve the team than Revis, Mo and Richardson combined.
As long as the team has hot garbage at the QB position, it is going nowhere.
If you have the chance to get a Ferrari, you don't sit around wringing your hands about what the insurance will cost you.

That may be true, but if buying and keeping the Ferrari costs you your house, was it worth it?
Well this conversation is just speculation based on a what? Someone's comment or speculation? Like Cy and others stated this is posturing only to get a viable deal done....IMO. Ferrari ... better be able to afford the maintenance costs.
You underestimate our QBs. We only have one really awful one, the one you don't want to trade to Seattle with Wilk and first round picks for Wilson???Agreed, seattle isnt letting the next Tom Brady out of the building.
Also, how can you not afford the maintenance costs when everyone that already has a ferrari has the same salary cap to maintain it and everyone who wins a super bowl has a ferrari...
Wilson - check
Rodgers - check
Brees - check
Brady - check
Big Ben - check
older Manning - check
eli manning - check
Flacco - check
if you dont have a ferrari, you're wasting your season and time...like the 2015 season will be. truth is, whether jets fans admit it or not...we just want to be competitive next year and show growth; but all realistic jets fans know, we dont have a ferrari, so Luck, Big Ben, Brady, Manning come play-off time will likely put this defense to bed before we ever get a SB run in our wet dreams...
you have to get the ferrari to even sit at the table. Right now, we're a second rate organization...like the rams and browns...with a great D and a few nice pieces, but no one expects much from us despite the stacked roster outside of QB.

understand 55 but have you read the specs on the new zo6 vette? Its not a Italian stallion but for a 1/3 of the price you get equivalent performance... get my drift. Not saying we have a zo6 on our team just making a observation...
If chan and Mac see him as the next Tom Brady, yes.
Seeing as I have actually stood next to him at West Towne Mall, both of us in sneakers - and I'm 5'-9" & my kids are 5'-10" & 5'-11" respectively - I can assure you Wilson is at least 5 foot 10 & a half inches, if not quite the full 5'-11" he's listed as.He's under 5'10" in his bare feet
If they see Russell Wilson as the next Tom Brady, I'd be a bit concerned. I'll put my faith in their eyes more than mine, but that seems like a stretch for anyone to think Wilson is Brady.
