2015 Season Predictions

I would love to hear everyone's season predictions once we the Snoopy Bowl is complete and we'll have some kind of an idea on the type of team we'll have.

Right now I see us at 8 and 8. I'll most likely change the prediction after Saturday.

I can answer this before the Snoopy Bowl barring anymore major injuries or suspensions of course. If Fitz can play his basic boring ass, Caption check down to the MAX and pretty much mistake free football as some poster would think then the Jets can win 10-11 games. Potential problem with that is the pressure will be on the D, running game, pass catchers and o-line to carry this team every week.

This is a team sport so the pressure would have been on them regardless to a certain extent with any QB we have on our roster, I will admit. If Fitz starts to turn the ball over to much then that 10-11 win season easily goes to 7-8 wins max. Seems to me Fitz will be throwing 20 yard passes at the most (because he's either to scared to throw it any further or doesn't have the arm strenth and accuracy to throw it further) and the receivers would have to do the rest.

I hope so. They are not going to "punchy" if Fitzpatrick plays as well as that record you just told us.

I had higher hopes at the beginning of camp because on paper we looked to have few weaknesses. Geno getting popped and watching preseason games, I'm not sure how I feel. They have not looked good at all on defense and I'm not sure how well Fitz will actually do. I just wonder how much the Sheldon suspension and knock out of Geno has affected this team. I'm hoping for at least 10-6, but wouldn't be shocked at 6-10. And at 6-10 that would be a complete disaster.

I'm with you and no arguments there. This is not anything against Fitz per say. As long as he plays his basic game and we run, run and run some more we have a chance. All that can quickly change if he goes from Caption check down to Fitzbustard and knowing him, it's very possible. As for Geno, I'm pretty much done with him after the dumbass jaw break incident. I would rather see Petty in there then Fitz but if he's not ready then he's not ready.

I've been able to call the Jets' season record within one game for most seasons, but I have to admit I don't have a great feel for this season's team. I think they have 8-8 talent, like most NFL teams. But, there is so much uncertainty at the QB position, I can't see it all working out smoothly over he course of 16 games. I have a feeling we'll see three or more different starters at QB this season. And, that's never a good scenario.

It's not unusual for a team with 8-8 talent to go 10-6 and make the playoffs - maybe even win it all. I would say the last two Giants' championship teams had 8-8 talent.

But, I just don't see it for our Jets this season. Unless we get every bounce and have some fluke wins, I don't see this team winning more than 8 games.

As a matter of fact, I see some growing pains for the team and the coaching staff. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to go 6-10 this year. Sorry.

Well, I've been accused of being too optimistic, but I'll give it a shot here.

I think we have better than 8-8 talent. No question about it. Our secondary and d-line will be very good. And the WR position took a big step forward with Brandon Marshall. Both Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell both had a great camp. Zac Stacy as third string? Uh...sure.


Our offensive line is average bare minimum. I would even say above average. The only question is Fitzpatrick. He doesn't have to be a star. He just needs to protect the football and make the occasional nice throw downfield.

Absolute worst case scenario is 7-9. Best case scenario is 11-5 and playoffs.

My prediction: 10-6. AFC Wildcard.

Ryan Fitzpatrick will probably give the Jets the best QB play in a few years simply because I believe he knows how to manage a game and will not make us beat our selves. This is probably the team Fitzpatrick ever had so I am an optimist even though I've been a Jets fan since '68 and a season ticket holder since '78.

I think we can go anywhere from 9-7 to 11-5.

If I remember correctly which sometimes I don't theses days lol I believe we asked this in a poll a couple of months ago. At the time I said 9-7 or 10-6 but would vote 10-6 because it was an optimistic time of year. With Fitz definitely starting I am still optimistic so I will stick with my 10-6

I think we split the division and wind up with 10 wins. There are certainly some good match ups that will be interesting and make a prediction difficult.
Does our roster play near their talent? How do we overcome the inevitable in season injuries?

I like our depth and youth. We have playmakers now. But how do these new guys gel?

If they win 8 games , this season is a failure. They spent a boatload of money to win now. Last year the roster was a losing one, not this season. So 9 wins is an absolute minimum,
