I love the safeties, corners and TE's in this draft. I'd be happy to see us focus on that in the top rounds. Adams or Hooker would be a great start.
With the offensive line close to solved, these are the positions that are left (QB isn't going to be solved this draft). I would be on board with Hooker, Corey Davis, or Fournette. I think they'd all be immediate contributors.
I think they need a stud on offense.
Why? He's the best QB on their roster right now and they have to pay him $16 of the 17 million this year even if someone else signs him.
they are trying to see if any team wants him for $8 M in trade for a 3rd round pick... Otherwise they will simply release him all they wanted was that 2nd round pick, which is illegal to trade cash for a pick even tho they received a player with that pick... This will be interesting on how the league responds to this trade...
I would now bet the ranch Fournette goes to the Jags. They have signed a bunch of players on defense and need to protect Bortles with a solid running game. Would have been a nice option for the Jets.
are they still high on Bortles? Next season must be his final season as a Jag unless he improves drastically
Remember Coughlin is in his first year there, he'll want to see him in person before choosing a direction.

Bingo, we need playmakers. Stud big wr, or dalvin cook. I prefer cook, not because I think elliot is successful, but because I see him as the most likely sure thing, dynamic playmaker. You need to grab those when you can.

His job wouldn't be to succeed, it would be to provide a cheap competent veteran. Someone to compete in camp without being an actual threat to start, and to be a serviceable backup.

This is one thing i love about our GM. Macagnan keeps close to the vest. The media has no FN clue what is being discussed at Florham park. Just look at yesterdays signings in Beachum (solid LT) and our new kicker. Came out of no where.
Jay Cutler WONT BE A JET. The team is rebuilding aroun Macs guy and that QB is Christian Hackenberg. He doesnt have to post videos like Mark Sanchez and Geno Smith did showing the world how they train. Hack apparently works like Mac, under the radar.
RG3-WONT BE A JET. We shed off players to create cap space. Not to acquire damaged goods-rather to RE-BUILD this team the right way.
Geno Smith-WILL NOT RETURN- Just stop already please. He needs a new scenery. He wasnt and will never be the answer for this ny jets team.
Colin Kaepernick-WILL N.............................- Not a chance in hell. Woody wouldnt want that drama and neither would Bowles/Mac.
Chase Daniel-No way the Jets pay $7 mil for an unproven QB unless Philly is willing to eat 1/2 of the contract.
Alex Smith-Wouldnt even fathom why KC would let him go

Nick Foles- He has had some success in the past and played well with the Cheifs in Alex Smiths absence
Trevor Siemian- You guys know the story if Elway lands Romo.
AJ Maccaron- If there is any way the Jets could dump Sheldons $8M to Cincy and acquire AJ on his final year of his rookie deal, adds value to our rebuild.
Ryan Nassib- Another young strong arm QB that might add solid competition and would like to make a name for himself.
Case Keenum-Stop Gap

Josh Johnson-Stop Gap

Romo wants to win now. Jets can't offer that.
Jets want to find their long-term answer at QB. Romo can't offer that.
Of course not. But if you want to offer a competitive rebuild, he's the best on the market. It's not a good fit for him,and his health is a major risk. I agree, there's less than 1%chance.
I would hope we save cap for next year, get a cheap vet QB who isn't a threat to start, but can be a sacrificial tackling dummy. Either hack wins games and we're happy, or he can't and we get a high pick.
