jets at 39?? i know @mkcuz really likes the kid..Wow. This was a guy who had a ton of talent, but was slipping as a tweener. Now this?
Can't believe I'm saying this, but could he make it to the early second?
More question marks for these players. My dream draft:
Trade back to 12 with Cleveland pick, OJ Howard at 12, Reuben Foster at 33, and Jabrill Peppers at 39.
Great point being raised by Pat Kirwan on Sirius NFL Radio - why not do a medical re-check on the guys that tested with dilute samples that say they just drank too much water? Test them 2 days later? And if not, why wouldn't the teams go and ask? If not that either, why wouldn't the player/agent set one up, instead of just crying foul?A diluted sample is not a fail because there are banned substances in it. The assumption is that the player is loading up on water and other fluids to mask something they have been taking/smoking. To my knowledge Peppers doesn't have a history, so this may be that he was overhydrating for preparation of combine where he competed as both a DB and a LB. Or maybe as has been reported, he was overhydrated due to being ill. Perhaps I'm naive, but I think this is crap.
Peppers and another player both claimed to have diahrea, and admitted at the draft they were pounding Gatorade.Diluted samples are a flag the person is trying to flush or mask the drugs in their system. Usually drinking a gallon of grape juice will do it but still will be flagged. How about just not doing it & have a chance to make millions instead of some BS story of why it tested like this? Choices are make millions/set for life or do drugs which is more important drugs or making millions? Seems like Pot is more important than playing & making millions.
Yea boy.jets at 39?? i know @mkcuz really likes the kid..
