This is my choice as QB for the Jets.... What are yours???!!

I want nothing to do with a Manziel wannabe or type of QB. That Oklahoma kid seems to be that way to me. Not to big on Rosen either. Yes I know he had a great first game, not sure about his second but he seems a bit frail, full of himself and weak minded. I want and big, bruising, strong armed, accurate, intelligent, leader who loves football more then himself or anything and willing to do whatever it takes to win (keeping that into perspective of course). It seems like Darnold or Allen fits that build to me but I could be wrong.

Colts could be the worst of all of the teams listed, unless of course Luck comes back healthy.

Without Luck the Colts might go 0-16 but they won't need to draft a QB. They'll just hold out for a Kings ransom for someone to trade up for their spot. With Luck, the Colts can win 6-9 games. See the difference in a healthy franchise QB??????????????????

I'm sorta thinking after week one that the loser teams will end up being the Jets of course, Bills, 49ers, Colts, Redskins, Cardinals and Saints look to be in shambles also. Every team except the Colts will be looking to draft a QB. Redskins will probably let Cousins go, Bills with Taylor, Cardinals and Saints will be looking for the Palmer and Breez replacements. Getting more hectic here!!! Jaguars might be good for 7-9 wins with that defense, oline and running game. If they still do want to replace Bortles, their record will keep them out of the bottom cellar mix. That will be the Jets, 49ers and maybe the Bills and Colts (without Luck playing.)

Like I said you have your paradigm and I have mine.. A lot of what goes on for most Offenses in the NFL is cause and effect... Sure you get a dominate OL like the Cowboys have and it can dictate a lot. But I believe mediocre OL's get a lot more credit then they should because the QB behind them makes them better. That happens more often then not.. Good to great QB's Changes the whole scheme a D puts forth. The difference yesterday was Tyrod Taylor. For all the running the Bills did with McCoy. A QB making plays on 3rd down was the difference. He got out of sacks on 3rd down at least 5 times. The Jets DL was winning the battles om 3rd downs and passing situations. Drives should ahve been stopped but the QB play made the difference. If QB's were swapped. Jets win that game. Regardless of OL.... Now with that said yes it's starts in the trenches, I agree 100%.. BUt if you get a QB that makes plays in critical situations it makes a huge difference in how the D attacks the LOS and it makes the OL breathe a little easier, make running a littel easier. It's symbiotic, it's a cause and effect. But Yes I would love a dominant OL to help make the QB play easier. Bottom line is if you don't have a QB you don't have much in this NFL...our focus this offseason is get the QB and build the line around him.

Definitely agreed but I gotta give some props to 23 on what he's saying as well. Look at the Colts for example. Without Luck, they are a 1-2 win team. With him, they can win 8-10. Same when Peyton Manning was there. Franchise QBs do make a huge difference.

USC (Sammy Boy) -vs- Texas. Saturday evening at 8:30PM. National TV. Fox.

Always look at - Quick release, ability to scan the field and spot secondary receiver, pocket presence when under pressure. I remember going to NC State games a lot when Rivers was there. Saw all those things in him and he turned out OK.

Is that what you see from Darnold #12? Wasn't sure whether you were saying he has that ability or that is what we should be looking for. Lots of young QB options who may be available in this year's draft. Just hoping we have the pick of the litter, and can take the consensus guy and not one with question marks. We must however make sure that he is surrounded by a solid OL and weaponry at RB and WR.

I agree with that statement 100%, but on this scenario McCown wasn't not under constant pressure... he wasn't. Jets had double the pressure on Taylor and double the sacks the better QB won the game not the bad OL lost the game.

Week 2 is almost done and things seems to be the same. Jets suck ass beyond belief and no reason to think we won't be getting the #1 pick. 49ers and Bills appears they will be at the button of the barrel as well and need a QB. Can't see the Bills not wanting to draft a blue chip QB. I expect Darnold, Allen and Rosen to be drafted to these three teams. Other teams of concern, Saints seems they will suck ass also and will be looking to develop a QB under Breeze. Teams that aren't that bad but may be looking to draft and developing QBs, Giants, Steelers and Chargers. Jaguars aren't a bad team at all but defending on what Bortles does this year and their record, they may be looking also in the first round. Redskins may be looking to draft and 1st round QB depending on Cousins staying or leaving.

Are you sure they haven't already quit??? Next week they have NO CHANCE at home against the Dolphins and they know it. I'm thinking 35-10!!!

Well I hope they haven't quit. I want to see a real chance given to Petty. I think Mo has quit. I think Leo plays hard. Kearse is busting his ass. I think for the most part these guys will keep trying, but they are just completely overmatched.

Saints are the latest addition to tanking. Their defense is worst than ours and they will definitely be in the bottom 8 this year

Shit, I want them to suck this and every year. I want them to go 0-16, just as I'm sure all or most Jets fans do. I just don't them taking our QB. I want them to draft a punter with their #1 draft pick!!
