Brees will keep them from the bottom.
This Saints team is so bad or appears to be, Breez may not be able to pull them out of this one. Don't see them as bad as us in losing 14-16 games but I can see them losing about 10-12 games. Just as long as they or any other team doesn't take the top QB coming out this year from us, I'm good.

Bears, 49ers, Browns and the Colts all have a shot to unseat the Jets. The good thing is that they all play each other during the year. The Jets only play the Browns, so if/when the Jets lose, the Tank train should be full speed ahead to Darnold town.

And the Browns will beat us so we're good there. Also, the Bears and Browns appear that they won't be drafting a QB in this draft. The Colts we know they won't. 49ers will and they are a true concern and our main competition for Darnold. I do see the 49ers as a better team and winning possibly 2-4 games. Jets will be lucky to win one this year.

I agree. I must admit, this has been the most stress free football season for me so far. Watching the Jets do what they do soo well, lose and not having the mini heart attacks that come with all the loses is quite refreshing. I watched week one in my basement, came upstairs and my wife said the Jets must've won,i didn't hear any screaming. I said they lost and that's what we're going for this year. I guess i'll start screaming agin when it lookalike they're going pull out a win. THAT would be the Jets way.

I hear ya, lol!!! I don't even bother watching them play. I'll watch a quarter at most and that's truly stretching it. I really a series or two, hoping for McCown to gets hurt so Hack or Petty can play. When he doesn't get hurt in that series or two, I change the channel. Much more desirable games to watch, especially the younger teams with the up and coming franchise QBs. I watch those games drooling literally (not really) but thinking, damn it sure would be nice to have Winston or Carr or Wentz or Marriota. Maybe next year we get our guy.

I'm routing hard for that 0-16, 1-15 at best and drafting Darnold or Allen. My wife wonders if I'm crazy still routing for this garbage team and I tell her simply loyalty and fanatic football fandom to the death. I've been a Jets fan since 1982 and I ain't going to stop now. It is a relief not having the sore throats, stomach pains, body aches and headaches from hoping for a win from a mediocre ass team that has no real chance of winning anyway. I'd rather they just dumpster fire the whole damn thing and start fresh and new. Although by them starting McCown, are they really starting over???

Niners may pull this one off!

Seemed like it and I was hoping so dammit. They are clearly a MUCH MUCH better team then the Jets, playing very competitive and should win a few games this year. All they need is a QB. If they find away to lose as many games as the Jets then they will want the best QB and that is not good for us.

Well, the Jets sure know how to mess up a soup sandwich. When you want them to win they can't. When you want them to lose, they screw that up also. 49ers lost, Indy is winning and the Bills look like they might win. 49ers are in the #1 overall pick lead now but I believe/hope the Jets will lose the rest and the 49ers and Bills pull 3-4 wins out each.

Well if they play like they did today, the #1 pick won't happen. The problem is the players are not going to quit this early. TBH, I don't want them to.

The Jets get hammered in this thread for having already quit. Then they come out, show that they haven't quit, and they get bashed for wrecking the pick.

Last year's team would have quit after the second game, this team has a different feel. Maybe its all of the young players playing with passion, maybe some of the cut vets were cancers, not sure but win or lose I will enjoy watching how the season plays out.

After the Chicago @ GB game yesterday and the Glennon implosion, he's actually been slowly imploting over the past 4 games. It seems pretty obvious their rookie QB will be starting soon. If not next week, if the HC is smart anyway. This will most likely mean that Chicago will win a few more games because their rookie is way better and mobile then Glennon. With that said, doesn't matter what Chicago's record will be, they won't be drafting a QB anyway. Can't see the Browns, Texans and Chiefs (obviously) either. Last week was a win, a good one in fact (I guess) for the Jets but I can't see that being the case this week. Can't see that being the case anymore then 1-2 more games max. This should keep us in the running for that number 1-2 draft pick.

Note: I'm just hoping that by the end of this season, we get a chance to see Petty and Hack play a few games, so there we be no doubt in anyone's mind that they need to draft a QB immediately!!!

I don't think that Cleveland is out of the running for QB. Kizer was a middle round pick so they could still take Darnold/Rosen

Possibly but I can see Kizer slowly improving throughout the year. I see him proving to Cleveland that he is their guy. Franchise QB, I'm not sure of that but a decent to very good (Alex Smith type) multiple year starter. I can see that!

So right now the teams leading the pack for the first pick are:

Browns
49ers
Giants

i think we are out of the running and at this point. It will be between the 9ers and Browns

Well I guess my Saturdays just freed up because I had been watching Darnold/Rosen.

Sure looks that way. Unless both teams can manage to win 4-5 games and we don't of course. Doubt that seriously!!!
