Are we starting threads for everything that little boy has done?? Fuck me there are going be a lot of threads!! FYI, you wanted Jackson a couple weeks ago so I don't trust your eyes at all. And yes I have drank too much, but never had a run in with a cop. I was taught to respect the police and not act like a dick. And my parents made sure I had consequences for everything I did which has never happened to him.

There's no way the Jets are taking him, regardless of whether or not some want to dismiss his antics out of hand. First of all, I don't believe the Jets want to bring this idiot into their culture, they're smarter than that. One bad apple will spoil the whole barrel, especially if it's the QB. Number 2, he doesn't have the size or arm talent that Mac wants in a QB. It's not happening folks.

You sure know a lot on how the Mayfield's raise their kid.

From the outside his actions show that his parents/coaches have never held him accountable. I don't care if he acts like an asshole or douche, but I don't want him doing that as the QB of the Jets and by all indications his behavior will continue.

This is not directed at you Tebow just a statement.
One of the biggest douche QB's in my eyes is Cam Newton. His antics, press conferences etc.. Yet, I'm sure most Carolina fans love him.
Baker Mayfield gets drafted by the Jets and he is the or a big reason why the Jets are a winning, playoff contending team with a legit shot at the superbowl.
Yea, he may be a douche but he'd be our douche and if he can let us fans enjoy another or multiple Lombardi trophies, Most of us walking the planet right now do not know what that feels like.

I do. I'm guessing, based on the conversations here that many of our members were not even born yet when the Jets, ( NY Titans ) were founded in 1959. Some might not have yet been old enough to feel the excitement when they won their one and only Super Bowl in 1969, but I remember it and I long as much as every other Jets fan to feel that excitement again. Not that it matters but those who were old enough will recall that in some circles Broadway Joe was being called a douche but for different reasons. He was brazen enough to guarantee that win and it didn't sit well with many non Jets fans. So instead of douche which can be interpreted in several ways I'll say immature in thought and action. Mayfield is good, no doubt about it but just because he can be a leader in college doesn't mean he can be a mature and responsible leader of an NFL team. I worry about that side of him. If the Jets do draft him I expect that the word on the streets in Jersey will be " The circus is in town".

I wouldn't want Cam either. The OU guy rubs me the wrong way just like Cam does. All those antics are awesome when you're winning. Start losing and people hate you. The Jets QB position does not need those kinds of antics. NY media will eat him alive.

Do more and more homework on this year's Quarterback class and have to say the best pro ready signal callers are NOT at the top of this draft (Darnold, Rosen, Mayfied, and L. Jackson) The fifth overall in this group may be worth getting if he lands in the second round in Mason Rudolph but there has been some talks about him being a late first rounder...

More and more I look into the body of work of Jarrett Stidham has me to believe out of the top 10 Quarterbacks he would be best served for us...

Stidham will need to work on his lower body strength at the next level. His tall frame can look a little clumsy running at times. One of his greatest strengths is accuracy and ball placement. Stidham throws verticle with good touch, especially on outside routes.

What may be more impressive is his short route accuracy. He makes flawless throws on short routes, allowing receivers to maximize yards after the catch.
  • Now the shelf on Darnold, could be high but he will need at least a couple years to really hone his skills...
  • Rosen is pro ready but his desire for the game is in question... If a team takes too long to show promise he may stray for other ambitions...
  • Mayfield's knock is his off the field issues... As a former QB height isn't issue if the QB has a high release point, like Drew Brees and Case Keenum...
  • Lamar Jackson a run first type QB who showing improvement as a pocket passer, looks like a Bridgewater type QB that may be a injury risk as a QB at this level...
  • Josh Allen has the look, size strength and ball placement but the knock on him is competition level at Wyoming... He has the body of work to mold from, but is he worth it?
  • Mason Rudolph typically has good footwork but occasionally his legs will get out of sync, leading to rushed and miss throws..
  • Luke Falk like Rudolph has good footwork but at times gets sloppy with his technique, with the right coaching staff Falk could compete for a starting job at the next level...

I like Stidham, but, he has decided not to declare for the draft and will be returning to school. Rudolph or Falk might be available to us and if we can work on their faults before throwing them in the game might work out.

Hey, I'm at home 90% of the time and I can't keep up with it all. What are you doing in the middle of the Atlantic this time of year ? It's a nasty place to be unless you're in Bermuda or south of there.

QB to watch out for: Riley Ferguson from Memphis is one to watch.

Riley Ferguson started his career as a highly recruited high school player and signed to play with Tennessee. However, after an injury left him forgotten in the depth chart, he chose to spend a year at Coffeyville Junior College, before transferring to Memphis his Junior year. In his first season as the starter at Tennessee, he broke Paxton Lynch’s single season touchdown record with 32.

He also had a respectful completion percentage, with 63% of passes completed.

Riley Ferguson is a tall quarterback with quick feet. He has a good arm and is able to push the ball vertically. Also, he is extremely confident in his ability to run an offense, which NFL scouts will love.

Ferguson also played in a lot of pro-style concepts in college. Spending time under center and in the pistol. Memphis runs more of a ball control offense now, which explains why Ferguson’s numbers were good but not overly inflated. Teams will like the fact he will not have a huge learning curve in transition to the next level.

Projected: 3rd round

Could be an interesting developmental option, if they go that route.
