Missouri Western
Missouri Western is a large affair where prospects from all over the state gather for pro day. I'm told 16 teams were on hand to watch almost 50 players workout. I'm also told only 20 percent of the players were asked to participate in position drills based on their 40 times.

Davon Walls of Lincoln University, by way of Syracuse, measured 6-5 1/8, 295 pounds, completed 26 reps on the bench, touched 25 inches on the vertical and 9 feet in the broad. He timed 4.96/5.01 in the 40, then looked good in drills. Scouts on hand felt he made himself some money today.

Matt Longacre, the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year and an AFCA All-American from Northwest Missouri State, measured 6-3 1/4, 261 pounds, timed 4.75 in the 40, 6.95 in the 3-cone. His vertical jump was 33 inches and broad 9-10. He also completed 22 reps on the bench.

Scouts were impressed by a pair of defensive linemen.

Arthur Miley measured 6-5 5/8, 263 pounds and timed 4.78 in the 40. He completed 17 reps on thebench, touched 34 inches in the vertical jump and 9-6 in the broad.

Jaylen Jordan measured 6-3 7/8, 298 pounds, timed 4.97 in the 40 and completed 24 reps on thebench.

LSU
From all accounts, the LSU pro day was a long, drawn-out affair.

I'm told Danielle Hunter looked tremendous. He performed the shuttles, 3-cone (6.97) and jumps (10-10 broad, 36.5-inch vertical jump) then looked terrific in linebacker drills. The feeling from those in LSU was Hunter should've stayed in school another season, but based on his game film, athletic numbers and the workouts he had at the combine and pro day, I wouldn't be surprised if he slides into the late part of round one.

La'el Collins stood on his Combine numbers but was another who looked good in position drills. Sources at the school told me he met with the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns yesterday, and he had meetings with the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints today.

Safety Ronald Martin showed flashes of ability. He timed 4.59 in the 40 and 7.11 in the3-cone. Martin weighed in at 200 pounds today, almost 18 pounds lower than his weight during the season. Sources at the school inform me the New England Patriots worked out Martin yesterday.

2015 Pro Day Notes: Tuesday, March 31, 11:55 a.m.

Big day on the pro-day calendar as Florida State and UConn work out, as does Tyler Varga of Yale.

Besides Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly and Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, the Tampa Bay Bucs, Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears sent defensive back coaches. I'm told all 32 teams are in attendance.

The results for Byron Jones have been good thus far. Barely five months removed from labrum surgery, Jones completed 18 reps on the bench press and turned in times as fast as 4.36 on a number of watches.

I'm told Mike Zimmer is running the workout.

South Alabama
There was a nice crowd on hand for the South Alabama pro day, primarily to watch three prospects.

Tight end Wes Saxton stood on his combine 40 time (4.65s) but after weighing in at 253 pounds (five more than Indianapolis), he completed 19 reps on the bench. Saxton did not bench at the combine.

In pass-catching drills, I'm told Saxton looked terrific. He lined up as a conventional tight end, in the slot as well as out on the flanks and seamlessly caught the ball.

The Miami Dolphins, who sent their tight ends coach to the pro day, privately worked out Saxton after most of the teams had left. Tomorrow, Saxton will work out for the Atlanta Falcons then have dinner with the team.

Quarterback Brandon Bridge displayed his legendary arm for teams, and though slightly more accurate than the season, he was still all over the place with a lot of his passes.

Keep an eye on Melvin Meggs, whom I rate as a possible seventh-round pick at guard. Meggs wasthe starting left tackle for the Jaguars two of the last three seasons, sitting on the sidelines in 2013 with a knee injury.

Today, he measured 6-2 6/8, 299 pounds, timed 5.15 seconds in the 40, 7.18 seconds in the 3-cone drill and 4.64 seconds in the short shuttle. Teams had Meggs work out at guard and center, asking him to snap the ball. He moved very well and was fluid in drills. As someone told me, they were surprised such a "bottom-heavy guy" (thick legs) moved so well.

2015 Pro Day Notes: Wednesday, April 1, 1:50 p.m.

South Carolina
I'm told Corey Robinson looks a lot lighter now that he did at any point in the season. His movement skills were pretty impressive for such a big blocker, and many came away believing he has the makings to grow into a starting right tackle at the next level.

I'm told A.J. Cann also looked very good in drills. He moved well, and as previously posted on Twitter, he was worked at center. Cann leaves the workout with most believing he won't get out of the second round.

The Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, Arizona Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens all had offensive line coaches on hand.

Quarterback Dylan Thompson looked sharp and did not have an incomplete pass all day. He was accurate with his throws and displayed good velocity on the ball. Thompson also timed as fast as 4.65 in the 40 and touched 35 inches in the vertical jump.

Wideout Damiere Byrd, the recipient of Thompson's throws, timed as fast as 4.29 in the 40.

Seventeen teams were on hand to watch receiver Vince Mayle work out. Included were receiver coaches from the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons.

As you may remember, Mayle broke his thumb at the Senior Bowl but still performed at the Combine. His 40 times today have stretched as low as 4.56 to the mid 4.6s. The former represents a .1-second improvement from Combine hand times. The pass-catching workout, which is being run by Jim Zorn, is just underway.

The track is fast for Hurricane pro day as many of the top-rated prospects have improved their 40 times from the Combine.

Receiver Philip Dorsett, who finished with a best official hand time at the Combine of 4.28, was slightly faster today at 4.27.

Early reports I'm receiving say linebacker Denzel Perryman hurt his hamstring in the 40 and his day may be over.

The day belonged to receiver Phillip Dorsett.

As reported earlier, Dorsett blistered in the 40 and improved his already fast time from the Combine. Afterward, Dorsett was nothing short of sensational during position drills. He ran crisp routes, caught everything thrown in his direction and most importantly, practiced to his 40 time. People who've been attending Hurricane pro days for more than a decade told me Dorsett's performance today was the best they've ever witnessed at a Miami pro day.

Yesterday I reported Dorsett had dinner with the New Orleans Saints. Today I can tell you they are bringing the speedy wideout in for a visit. I can also inform that head coach Sean Payton and Jeff Ireland were on the sidelines gushing over Dorsett and talked about what a great fit the receiver would be for their offense.

Running back Duke Johnson timed under 4.5 (4.48), which is faster than his Combine mark.

As reported earlier, Denzel Perryman went down with a hamstring injury at the end of his second run, and I'm hearing it's pretty significant. How this affects Perryman during his individual workouts moving forward is something to keep watch of.

I'm told defensive end Anthony Chickillo came to the workout a little lighter, and was used exclusively at linebacker during position drills, but struggled. He was stiff and looked poor trying to backpedal in coverage drills.

Ladarius Gunter looked smooth and fluid in drills, while Clive Walford, who was struggling with a hamstring issue, was put through a grueling workout by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Dorsett could be an option for the Jets in the 2nd round.

Bucky Brooks is a big fan of Marcus Peters.

Bucky Brooks @BuckyBrooks · Apr 2

Spent the day looking at some top prospects @UW_Football Pro Day. Very impressed with CB Marcus Peters' footwork

Bucky Brooks @BuckyBrooks · Apr 2

Peters displays exceptional movement skills for a "big" CB. Smooth turns/transitions, fluid speed turns & breaks. Nearly flawless technique

Bucky Brooks @BuckyBrooks · Apr 2

I believe Peters & Kevin Johnson (Wake Forest) are the most polished corners in '15 class. Both can play within any system as CB or Slot CB

Bucky Brooks @BuckyBrooks · Apr 2

When I asked a veteran DB coach about most "pro-ready" CBs, he cited Peters, Johnson & FSU's P.J. Williams..
