You forgot to mention how N.E failed to make the playoffs in 2008. Miami won the division. Back then N.Es offense was loaded with Randy Moss and their Defense was full of legends; unlike 2020 one of the least talented offenses in the league and a defense who has lost multiple starters.

Bill Belichick had a career losing record in CLE without Brady.

And he's only made the playoffs 1 season out of 7.2 years without Brady.

Gotta agree with you here and totally have to disagree with Defensewinschampionships. Belibitch is a genius with this, cheating or not, he is a beast. Whatever he learned from his mistakes in Cleveland that helped him in NE, it WORKED!!! Until he proves me otherwise by stinking up the joint without Brady, then I'll believe it but otherwise... Don't get me wrong, I hate the bastard and that team and hope they fall flat on their faces but the chances of that happening are slim to none. NE will most likely be a 7-9 team at worst and 11-5 team at best. Most likely somewhere in between and probably a wild card team. I'd say the division plans out like this:

Bills: 10-6/11-5
Patriots: 9-7/10-6
Jets: 7-9/8-8
Dolphins: 5-11/6-10

WOW, three questions then. Do you honestly think the Bills will lose the division to the Pats? Also, do you think the Bills get a wild-card spot? Last, give a quick break down of what you think the division teams records will be? like I said, until someone takes over the top spot from Belichick I wont be counting on it.

I have always said that if brady werent there, they would still be almost as good. maybe 2 less wins. So I'm sticking with that and I'll say 10 wins for them. now I will add this, like I said, UNLESS WHOEVER THEIR QB IS SUCKS. They have 3 things working against them that arent brady,
1. Scarnechia has retired again, and their offensive line is already not as talented as most years. this hurts more then brady leaving. and
2. they appear to be starting a QB that hasnt played an NFL game and
3. the hardest schedule in football this year, which is funny because they usually have one of the easiest

but, that said, belichick is still belichick and he beefed up his defense in the draft and as long as that team still believes, they are very dangerous

as for, the Bills, it's not always easy to continue what you started, and with higher expectations, so they may not improve on last year. Of course, they might, but again, that's another that I'll believe when I see. the Bills have been up and coming for a while now

but I will add this, and I've said it before- the years when brady threw a zillion touchdowns, they JUST won by more points, they didn't win any more games, and they didn't win the superbowl those years. They won the superbowl when their defense was great

Obviously I'm not happy about that and I hope I'm wrong but the Bills appear to be a division winning team this year. Us and the Dolphins really don't matter at this point. It would just be nice to see the oline gel really and protect Darnold, for Darnold to actually stay healthy and play all 16 games, our skilled players to actually do their part and help the young man and our defense to step up. That there might actually help this team to winning 7-8 games.

Lol @ the overrated Bills who have not won a playoff game in almost 30 years lol they beat a WHOPPING 1 team with an above .500 record last year and have an inaccurate QB and if not for Mosley getting injured up 16 we beat them week 1 and they never make the playoffs.

Buffalo will finish no better than 6-10/7-9 next year.

Glad you see it that way and I hope your right. Shit, I hope all the other three teams in the division go 0-16 and the Jets go 16-0, well really 19-0 but we all know that ain't going to happen!

Four wins, even with a tough schedule, would be an awful result, and should lead to firings. Then hopefully Douglas can bring in a HC of his choice who reports to him.

I hope we win more than 7 but I tend to agree with you here

Your scenario might be one time when our organizational structure might be advantageous. It would be awkward for Douglas to fire Gase, who was influential in the hiring of the GM.
