Guess I will start:
Our D-line Stinks - We cant get to the QB and we cant stop the run.
Our LB's - are ok in coverage and below average at getting to the QB. They are horrible against the run.
Our Safeties - are above average, although I think Maye is starting to outshine adams.
Our CB's - impressed with Claiborne - Shrine looks to be his usual self - some good plays and some where you are left shaking your head.
Our O-Line - average
Our RB's - We have no power run game without Powell and even then its limited - Forte is useless except as a pass catcher and McGuire is too raw. Powell is hurt too often to be every down.
Our WR's - Robby is fast - he seems to drop the long ball 40% of the time. I also am not in lone with his height. Kearse and Kerley are sure hands - but neither are a #1. Stewart and Hansen are invisible.
Our TE's - Sefarian is easily our best player on the field right now on either side of the ball. Very impressive. Cadet looks very good as well. TE's went from weakness in 2016 to strength in 2017.
Our QB - McCown - if its less than 20 yards he is ok. His field of vision has been above average most of the time although against the pats he didnt see some wide open receivers. His long ball is mostly non-existent due to his arm. He also has a 50-50 chance of throwing behind his playmaker target which is unfortunate.
Overall the two aspects of the team that is most worrisome is the run game and the d-line. We need to be able to consistently run the football. Other than the chunks the other week, we really havent been very good rushing. The most concerning however is the d-line. Its just pathetic. It is without a doubt the weakest portion of the team. Funny since we have 2 first round picks and an expensive free agent making up the base. Add in the first rounder with Lee in the LB group and its sad that 3 first rounders cant get to a QB. Kacy Rodgers better get to work. This is supposed to be his area of specialty.
Next week we play Miami in Miami and Jay Ajayi and Cutler will show up. We better light a fire under those groups if we want to win on the road.
