A need for a playmaker in the secondary

I'm not saying he shouldn't have blown it up, but what he does with those assets are what I'm questioning. So far I'm not impressed with anything other than the assets he has procured and the money he has been able to amass. We will see what he does this year, but it needs to be a major turnaround not just 2 more wins.

So if the jets win 6-8 games next season you think we should fire everybody and start over ?

i agree with this to a large extent. i don't think it's unreasonable to expect a better product on the field.

i also agree that it's put up time for JD...he procured assets, and he doesn't have to play MoneyBall anymore. it really is time to deliver on game changers, and quality depth.

also, it's time to not just trade out of dud contracts to get assets. i would like to see assets traded for stars now. he's got one direction mastered, but does he have the other way mastered too?

Next years roster will become even younger than last years roster and there will be growing pains because of it.

To each our own but I won't expect wins until Zach Wilson's 3rd year.

Because these next two offseasons will be all about A.) Building an Offense around Zach Wilson and B.) Building up a Defense for Robert Saleh.

JD gets this offseason from me and next offseason from me and then and only then will I expect wins (heading into Zach Wilson's 3rd year).

JD has been amazing at getting rid of good players and getting even better value. They have to be turned into star players IMO. Winning 2 more games next year means the product sucks. There is a small window with rookie contracts. At the current pace we will be shelling out big money for the OL and QB when we are competing for anything. I’m excited to see what JD does, but it needs to be huge.

Let’s just say that it was the Jets defense playing the way buffalo’s did on last evening. I wonder what this fan base would be saying today .
Our team played a game against the Bengals with Jamar Chase in the lineup and we did well on defense . We played that same Bills team a few weeks before and we did much better than what was shown by the Chiefs defensively. We played the Bucs and we did well defensively. Our team is not near finished being assembled and we supposedly caught these teams all sleeping .
I have been saying the same exact thing from the beginning but all everyone wants to talk about is building an offense . 2 offensive teams squared off on yesterday and neither of them remembered to pack their defense. The results were 30 points within 2 minutes. Without a complete team and regardless whether they took us likely or not we played them closely. I like our chances going forward .

It’s like looking at highlights and deciding that the player is a first day pick . Perception vs reality . It’s not about the 4 games we won but how we played the entire season .

I do agree Tony look you can sometimes replace a great one with another great one. Jimmy Brown to kelly, Sayers to walter, Joe D to mantle & Namath to woodall........well 3 out of four ain't bad

I agree!!!!!! What killed the Bills was the lack of a rush in the last minutes & overtime. They were just now getting in there. Or the "Bills" were just really a "Counterfeit" team.

Then why do you have boner when we won only 2 more games. Turnarounds can be done quickly. If Wilson is a FQB it will speed it up, but I just think it should be ok to question JD besides just his obvious health decisions. I've never told anyone not to be excited. I just don't get excited over two more wins. Some have said we won twice as many. Well then I expect 16-1 in 2023.
