I was really impressed with Josh McGowan when he was here. He really looked like he knew what he was doing about attacking a defense. His arm was just a tad too weak to be effective and he was hurt by bad play calling (A Jets coaching tradition). They've interviewed him already.
I hope he's the one they pick.

At least with McCown we would know that Travis was getting good advice.
As long as Josh McCown knows what he’s doing and can help this team not only win but win multiple super bowls, I’m good with him being our next HC.
Not sure he does though. 1st time HC never works for us. We know thats what we are going to get because nobody else wants the job.
The Jets will wait till all the good Coaches and GM's are taken. They then will scrape the bottom of the barrel and grab the shit that's left.
I'd sign McCarthy now. An experienced guy capable of levelling the ship. Trouble is that the sane thing to do is appoint the GM first. Perhaps McCown as OC, particularly if we are hoping to roll with Travis.
Well it won't be Ulbrich, he has taken a DC gig with the Falcons. Probably wise to jump before he was scapegoated for the bad season. Baghdad Bob seems to be sought after as well, which tells you that other franchises think that the Jets malaise has more to it than the coaches. Now if Carter and Hackett get head-hunted........

Funny thing is that Glenn's performance as DC yesterday doesn't necessarily bear on his potential as HC, for better or worse. But if it's me, I'm taking a guy with HC experience this time.
I would love for the Jets to hire Glenn, but at this point the way they played yesterday, I just don’t know. They got it handed to them yesterday, WOW!
