IF i were to venture a guess I'd say that they are afraid that Glen might not still be available if they wait until they are legally allowed to interview Brady. IF they were 100% sure Brady would say yes they might wait but they likely, unless they are breaking the rules, don't have a clue if he would even consider the job. He could say no and then they would be screwed. That's the way the ball bounces for the Jets as we all know.

Glenn's defense relies on the defensive backs quite a bit. With all of their injuries I'm surprised the Lions won 15.

There is no way you are judging Aaron Glenn based on one game? Every coach has a bad game. Brian Flores shit the bed his last 2 games if thats the metric we measure HC candidates. Glenn's defense was completely decimated by injury. The offense gave up 5 turnovers and a pick 6. Glenn played for two of the greatest Jets and NFL coaches of all time. Bill and Bill are two great minds that he probably learned a lot from. He was a big part of the Lions rebuild and turnaround. He was a pretty damn good Jet. I have no idea if Glenn will be a great HC or not, but he will be a great HC to root for.

If you were Glenn, wouldn't you want to check out the more desirable Saints job first? No Woody, no Rodgers, easier Division, more laid-back media.......
