The potential for a fully motivated and healthy A-Rod and this team has no limits to it. No Rodgers won’t play for 7-10 more years. That’s obvious but a fully motivated and healthy Rodgers can play for 4-5 more years at a MVP level. Especially on a very good team like the Jets have. This doesn’t have to be a 1-2 year deal if Rodgers doesn’t want it to be.

Rodgers has the ability still to play at a MVP level and even an average level for him is better than half the league. Look at what he did this/last year rather. That was considered a down year for him and he still threw for more than 3600 yards, 25 plus TDs with less than 13 ints and over 60 percent completion percentage. Keep in mind he was injured!

Imagine those stats on this 7 win team we had. They lost 5-7 games by less than 10 points. Any average QB makes the difference in 2-3 of those games and an average A-Rod makes the difference in 5-6 of those games. ALOT of potential here for greatness. I’m sorry but I’m talking myself into this and talking myself off the Lamar Jackson ledge. LOL!

Welcome aboard my friend.
I believe A-Rod has at least three main reasons to be fully motivated to play at the highest level possible for the next 4-5 years. At least 3-4 years:

1. He wants to prove Green Bay wrong and show them they made a grave mistake in moving on from him. Doing that for a year or two may not be good enough for him. But playing for 3 years or more at a MVP level and winning a Super Bowl or two definitely will stick it to them real damn good!

2. He wants to do what Brett Farve couldn’t and get out his shadow. Playing here more than 2 years at an MVP level and winning a Super Bowl or two will definitely surpass him as the better and more accomplished quarterback.

3. He wants to truly get up there in that Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Breez and Joe Montana conversation. He may never or won’t ever get in the Tom Brady conversation. Only Mahomes has a chance to do that but the others it’s very possible if Rodgers can play here 3-4 years at a high level and win 1-2 Super Bowls.

I mean even Big Ben has accomplished more stats and championships wise than Rodgers at this point. We all know that Rodgers by the eye test is one of the most talented quarterbacks to ever touch a football but he’s definitely not the most accomplished. He doesn’t even come close to that right now. He plays here 3-4 years at the highest level and wins a Super Bowl or two, he gets what he wants!

IF THIS IS TRULY WHAT HE WANTS and can stay healthy enough to do it!

I would put Dan Marino in that category

And I really think (after hearing Aaron speak about the packers)
He played with half a heart for that team
He doesn’t like the front office

I wanted him here from the beginning when I didn’t even think it be possible.
He’s probably been my favorite QB to watch the past 1 1/2 decades
This could really be amazing

Sorry Bud, but cheer up. It'll all come out in the wash. Green Bay does not want Rogers. It's pretty certain he will be a Jet...............sooner or later and before the season starts.

They have time more than they have leverage. They can hold out until the season starts. After that it will cost them. It's not costing the Jets anything until he gets here. Sort of a stalemate situation.
Which would be bad for us because even though he is a future hall of gamer, he will need time to gel with his new teammates. Especially the receivers. A ball from AR is going to hit a whole lot different than a ball from Zach.

The part that will be that hardest for the WR's is the ball will actually hit them in their hands.

The last time the Jets made the playoffs They lost to the Steelers in AFCCG. Who did the Steelers lose to in the Super Bowl? Aaron Fuckin' Rodgers!! And for me that SB was in Arlington, Texas which I currently live 2 miles from the stadium. It's meant to be.

This is true, especially because his will land in the receivers hands instead of bouncing off the ground in front of them. In all seriousness though it will take some time, as you point out, for them to develop chemistry.
