I thought Mo said if Rodgers refused to go back to GB.
Even after trading him, I read they will have a $49 million cap hit. Thats why they have dug in their heels for compensation.
I didn't want to post a new thread so I am posting here. What do you believe is fair compensation for Arron Rodgers.

That's correct really, but if they don't trade him before June 1st and he remains a packer his dead money in 2024 jumps to over 68 Mil and in 2025 it jumps to 76 mil, if I understood over the caps explanation and I hope I did, because of the bonuses which were prorated. So they can't afford to let him just hang around and they don't want him to play. So, in a way, Rogers is the one with the leverage.
I would give them a 2nd this year and a conditional 3rd next year if Rogers plays a second season just to get the man in the facility so they move on. His presence under center does immediately upgrade the team. There's no denying the win potential he creates.

Potential is there and he was one of 9 offensive players MLF offended. Elijah Moore and Mike Carter were 2 others. Don't care that MLF had Zach "hero ball" Wilson offended but when AVT and Conklin are 2 others on that list it begs to differ why didn't we try utilizing Mims and Moore for their skillet rather trying to them to fit a square peg into a round hole.
His own guy that was cut Tevin Coleman was the first to speak out, followed by Dan Feeney but he had guarantees last year made it hard to cut. Not sure the other 2 but believe one just left in Herbig, a JD guy.

You may be right about the cap hits but I think it was Albert Breer who had reported the Packers had unil sept 1 to move him based on his contract.
Also I believe that the plan all along for the Pack was a post June 1 cut to push their hit into 23 and 24 instead of taking the whole ammount this season.

Actually they could hold out till then. The season starts Sept 7th. If they wait til then they might have to cut him instead of a trade and they get nothing for him other than the financial gain. There are just to many moving parts in this equasion for me to grasp thoroughly. I expect a compensation agreement before the draft myself because Green Bay will want to use the picks whatever they are.
