im honestly not 100% excited about this move. There is a dirty feeling you have when Revis is on your team. He is in his 30s, still a dick, and still a guy I think you have to worry about injury. I guess the true value add for me is other than what he brings to the field, is what he brings to the meeting rooms working with these kids, cause Milliner, Skrine, mcDougle, Williams, and Pryor are still young players. if the Jets were going to sign 2 CBs, they needed 1 to be a stud to align these kids. At least we have a leader to take over one of the weakest part of our team from last year.

I admit I'm having trouble warming up to it as well, but If Bowles needs CBs to run his scheme, we certainly couldn't have gotten him a better one.

So for his sake -- and hopefully the long-term stability of the team -- I say welcome back . . .

I'll never have the kind of warm feelings I had for him when he was a Jet and the best corner in the game, well on his way to being an all-time Jet, now I view him as a mercenary, but at least now he's our mercenary :)

Yeah I know, FLG, I was a little late in figuring that out, but now I like it even more. Really there's nothing not to like about this deal. Revis is getting paid market value for an elite corner of his caliber, and its really only three years, which is ideal considering his age. He should have three good years left, so its a good deal for the Jets. Honestly I'm surprised Revis didn't hold us up for more than this, because he really had us by the kajones.

He got the most he could get in the marketplace. The Jets were the only team that could give him 33 million comfortably in the next two years.

Both you and I were screaming when the offer was reported, "there has to be a time limit". Think there was. he had enough time to bounce the offer off all interested party's. Then he signed.

Real good job by the FO. I'm encouraged

Let's hope he doesn't hold out this year.

What excites me most about both the trade for Marshall and picking up Revis in the FA market is now we don't have to spend our early pick on a wide out and can focus on drafting a Shane Ray, Donte Fowler or Vic Beasley. If the one we draft turns into a legit edge rusher and you combine that with Revis taking away a wide out, wow, it could make this defense pretty sick. We still need a safety and maybe some better coverage LB's for Harris and Pace but aside from that, again wow.

For the record I still want Marcus at number 6 but just don't think he will be available. So an edge rusher will be a nice consolation prize for the reasons above..

Unless something else weird happens with Chip, I think Mariota has a good chance to be there at 6.

I'm a Winston guy, but if Mariota is there at 6, I run up the aisle with the selection

I still think he is a DBag, but I want the Jets to win and if he helps then I'm all for it.

I've said this over, and over. I don't give a crap personally any more about the players, then they do about me. While they are a Jet, they are just a part of the team. I don't care what they do off the field, who they are, what church they go to. They are a Jet. When they leave, they become non-people to me. Just like I am to them.

I root for the jersey, not the player. Revis makes this team a lot better. If he's a dick, I don't care.

I'm semi retired, and live a good life. I'm in that situation because I tried to get as much for my services as I humanly could. Still do.

Where as, as a fan, the guy drives me crazy, as a person I don't blame him.

I really don't blame him either. The only real problem I have is he won a SB with the Pats. If he wins one with the Jets I won't care.

Should we be concerned that the Jets still haven't announced this as official and its still not on their website?

Not trying to be a buzz-kill, but I thought it was signed, sealed and delivered.

Hell, I was even good with the Jason Taylor signing. I guy I had met personally in a one time social environment. Guy truly hated Jets fans.

When he was wearing green and white, I was good with him. Once he went back to being a stinking Fish, I was much more comfortable Loathing him again. LOL
