Bears release Slauson

Slauson is decent and not a bad pick up but Winters improved greatly last year so I would stick with the younger guy. And no Slauson cannot play RT...

Slauson = mediocrity. Winters = mediocrity (possibly a notch below Slauson). You go with the cheaper younger guy if they're close in performance.

Agree on all counts, although after they let Slauson walk , our LG position suffered greatly. Bad move by the Jets. I don't believe they knew what they had. Ducasse was horrible as a replacement.

The Jets were right to let him go, and they missed him. He was important to our line, but was due to make much more than he was worth, and more than we could afford. As if breno was a fa and getting offers of 10 mill per, no way we compete. Slauson earned a payday the Jets couldn't afford, and he took it. At 30,he's still a good signing. We have no o line depth worth a Damm.
