Must really be a deflating feeling to look at that for Brady and other pats.

Speaking of deflating jokes. Von Miller joked about it in the locker room after the game.

One thing thaw was plain to see in that game was how much BETTER Denver's defense was than ours. Denver actually had a masterful plan for that game. Not only that but the players executed that plan to perfection. I never saw the Jets defense do the same thing against that kind of competition at all this season.

The Jets defense was very good this season, no doubt. But really prior to going into the season, I was telling anyone asking that the Jets being the number 1 defense would not be surprising at all. I was wrong about that. They left a little to be desired and I never saw that pedigree from Todd Bowles which said, "This is the reason why he got hired". At least not in a big game.

The NE game IMO is not a good example of winning with a great defensive game plan. NE was so ravaged by injuries that the Jets defense had far less to worry about. Not the same with Denver and NE. Denver's defense managed to neutralize New England's full compliment of weapons.

So really the jets defense this season, although it was very good, was a bit of a disappointment this defense. And to me this is just another reason why most objective fans should be a little hesitant to support Todd Bowles. He got outcoached quite a bit this season and often the players showed up flat and lacked discipline in games.

Seems from my reading that there is apparently only ONE angry "objective" Jet fan posting here who is a little hesitant to support Coach Bowles especially after the vast improvement in performance in 2015 compared with the awful 4 win fiasco under the fat blowhard circus clown

MJ is correct that the Jets defense did not do what the Broncos defense did, but not many team did. Broncos had the number 1 defense this year.

MJ - keep your chin up, Bowles knows what the problem is on defense and he will work to correct it this year. In his year-end conference, he noted that the jets MUST get faster. Once we get the horses to play the defense he wants, we'll be fine

Denver has two world class pass rushers, Jets don't.

And I meant to mention that the Jets definitely need a few linebackers. That's probably their biggest weakness. However, the Jets have the superior defensive line to Denver. So to say the difference as to why Denver's defense is so much better than ours is a few linebackers is grasping at straws at best. We also had the superior secondary. We also were SUPPOSED to have the superior coaching in Todd Bowles.

So to say a few linebackers makes all the difference in their favor is nonsense. Todd Bowles needs to be a BETTER head coach. And really is this any surprise? He just came off his rookie season and he sucked pretty bad, but that's pretty much par for the course.

You are entitled to your opinion, and I am not someone who thinks everything the Jets do is perfect, but you are not objective. You seem so negative that you skew what you think.

Our secondary came out like the Jets in west side story to start the year. They were everywhere and brutally disruptive. Remember skrine blitzing like 6 straight plays? After that beginning, they lost a lot of effectiveness, and I'm not sure why. Maybe we were easy to expose after the other teams had some film.

But I would say this year was a huge step in the right direction through the entire organization. I'm happy with our draft, fa signings, and demeanor. I'm hopeful mac will carry that into year 2. Bowles certainly could have been better, but not bad from a first year coach. 10 wins and a chance at 12 is nothing to scoff at. I don't like the guys coming out flat, I hope that will be addressed.

Denver has the best d, and the new England game showed what 2 stud olb pass rushers, bound for the hall of fame, can do to Brady. The closest we have to either is Mauldin maybe when he develops. Denver put out a really good line, a solid secondary, with some scary olb play. Their defense carried their below average offense to a super bowl.

I think we have 3 equally pressing needs to address at rb, olb, and cb via draft and fa. Maybe we can get cotchery back?

I see BETTER talent all over our defense in comparison to theirs. Once again, we have the superior defensive line and secondary. Maybe not linebackers, but linebackers does a not a defense make, there's much more to it. We are also supposed to have the superior coaching or so I hear you guys blowing hot air about it almost everyday. The middle of the Jets season should resonate with Jets fans just like the last game. The last game was truly the worst game as Todd Bowles allowed the team to arrive at the game tits up. But it was a lot of the same as the middle part of the season. Allowing teams to do certain things that Bowles is underestimating whether the opponent can win. Utilizing Revis in an ineffective manor. No making any in game coaching adjustments to counteract what the opponent is doing.

Worse than anything else, we have to tolerate losing twice to the Jets new arch nemesis.

And winning 5 straight games? Who gives a fuck if you're goal was to make the playoffs, and you had:

1) The far superior team or so everybody thought.

2) facing a pathetic shitty opponent in the Bills that already had their toe tag.

3) You are facing one of the most hated figures in recent Jets memory.

4) The Jets were already 0-1 verses the Bills. Talk about revenge to gain in style?????

So don't give me any garbage about negative posting. Todd Bowles fucked up the season end. You damn well know it just as much as I do. Stop avoiding the inevitable because if Todd Bowles has done this once, he going to do this AGAIN. And ask yourself WHERE will the Jets be on the cusp of when Todd Bowles pulls the rug out from under Jets fans.

You can believe what you want and I don't think Bowles is Rich Kotite. But I also think he'll NEVER be Bill Bellicick or even someone like Mike McCarthy, Ron Rivera? Those guys are the kind of talent the Jets should be looking at getting as their coach. Guys that can ultimately get things done. Todd Bowles is not that.

I totally agree with A and B, and I'm still sick about it , seems like I have this illness for 44 years now

But I'll agree with C when we have a QB named Tom , Aaron , or Cam like those coaches have . I'd like to see what they would do with guys like Josh , Brian , or Fitz

LOL

OK, fair enough.

Fact is we don't have Tom, Aaron, or Cam. What we do have is Fitz, who is physically un-gifted. Who is also really football smart. Loves the game. A leader of football players. And seems to be very unselfish. Last year he was the best QB We've had since Pennington

We have Bryce.
Who is very physically gifted. Seems to be pretty smart and likeable. He's Fitz's best friend on the team. He also is very, very raw in an NFL offense. He gets to learn from his friend.

We have Chan.
Horrible Head Coach. But he has established himself as a QB guru. He has gotten the most out of every mediocre QB he has coached. For the first time he has a young QB under him who has legitimate big league talent.

I have no idea what Petty is going to turn out to be, but with out an established "Super Star" QB, I'm very optimistic with the Jets current QB situation.....................And QB coaching. Both by the Jets current starter, and the OC.

Look, if it makes yourself and MJ feel more comfortable feeling down about the future, cool I'm good with that.

I prefer to look at the positive things I'm seeing on the team.

1) Macc............I really like Macc. A legitimate football scout running the organization. When was the last time we could say that about the Jets?

2) Gailey.....You have to admit for the first time in a very long time, your 8 YO grand son couldn't guess the play before the Jets came out of the huddle.

3) Petty....The kid has the physical tools....He's in a great spot to over come the experience limitations he had coming into the league. As Macc has said,he needs to show the improvement in camp this year............I'm enthusiastic he can.

I'm not totally sold on Bowles. I agree with 13. Every game isn't equal. If you want to go to the play offs you can't lose to Rex twice.

Myself? I'm looking at a promising future
