Why dont we build the best o line in football and get Jimmy G for nothing. If he doesn’t get touched, he shouldnt get hurt . Did anyone ever notice that other guy that played qb, was drafted 199th and played behind the best o lines in football. Without those lines, that guy would have been forgotten 20 years ago and I wouldn’t have to hear Willy Geist talking about him right now.

or, we could ask the league to extend the brady rule to Jets qbs and just let anyone but Zach play

I'd rather have JimmyG because He only costs money. If they do that, We all know that they will need a quality backup. Can they do that financially? Without cutting key guys to stay under the cap? That's my biggest fear. They acquire a decent QB and have to cut key players on D to pay for it. I don't think they can do that and maintain the high level of play from last season. Catch 22?

We had all this money 2 years ago and now we are cap strapped?? As far as Jimmy G which I'm fine with, this should be an incentive laden contract. I will be shocked if he can command big money.

We can put huge money into a proven lineman and safety, (better prediction rate than a QB), get a good game manager QB, and we can go far. We have the time to play GM , what the hey?
Can we afford another QB failure so fast? It's not even only odd or even years . Jets see QB failures any given year, screw the alignment of the stars!

At this point I'll take anyone of those mentioned. As long as it's not Cousins, Tannehill, or any of the second or third tier options. I'd rather go with The Kid than any of the recycled excrement on that level.

GB is not going to let Rogers go for a 4th and on top of that Rogers is getting more than well paid. If Carr decides to play hardball with the Raiders and take the cut and become a free agent his salary demands will be very high thanks to a bidding war. Jimmy Garoppolo will have multiple teams after him as well. The competition for all 3 is high and the Jets will be lucky if they get any of them. There are pluses and minuses for each of them coming here but I would be good with any one of them. Rogers would obviously be the most costly and could impact the quality of the team we put on the field this season.

Even a genius is limited by an empty wallet. The Jets erroneously thought that Zach would be their franchise QB this season so they blew their whole wad on trying to put together a team that would support him knowing all along that some of the pieces would need to be replaced before start of this coming season. He didn't pan out so now they have to spend that money on a QB instead. JD will have to be a genius to get us out of this mess.

I know they aren't letting him go for a 4th. And if they ask me I don't give more than a 4th. I'm not paying Rodgers his retarded contract on top of giving GB top draft capital. Geez if only I was GM years ago. I would be the most loved person in NY.

Trust the process! I think Rodgers is the best QB that we have a shot to get, but I think he won't be all in.
