I agree with you on the Streveler and Flacco analysis. I might even throw Mike White in there playing him with busted up ribs, but I’m sort, I can’t with Wilson.

Well it doesn't matter what his future is right now. What matters is how well he can fill in for Rodgers. I think he'll be ok for 2-3 games or less.
As a future franchise qb, it'll probably never happen with the Jets. Rodgers is expected to be with the team for about 3 seasons. If at any point, Wilson feels like he can start, he won't want to stay with the Jets and re-sign with a backup's salary.

Boyle is a surprise. If the team was going to go through all of these shenanigans at qb then why didn't they just keep Mike White. Boyle will be on the practice squad. But don't they need a 3rd qb on the roster?
Cutting Boyle was the Political thing to do (keep the psyche of their fragile #2 pick in line).
I know I've said it before, Saleh/Douglas go political too often. JD's ego is too fragile LOL
Like I said, he'll be on the practice squad. If the team wins the super bowl this season, JD's ego won't matter as much regarding personnel decisions.
I hope some of these guys make it to the practice squad. Boyle looked like an NFL QB in the preseason, and if anyone goes down we will need another QB to backup the starter.
He looked and played better than Wilson. Truth is neither of them are worthy of this roster . The Jets don’t currently have a trustworthy backup quarterback.
