UmmmUmm, exactly what I said .
Those factors don't seem to you likely to combine to give us a greatly improved and more productive Sam Darnold?
Nope

You make a nice case. But I still believe that putting better pieces around will allow him to achieve what is called in business 'The Peter Principle" which says a person is continually promoted up to his level of incompetence". With a good cast surrounding him, it will become obvious that he has never progressed - he will still throw into coverage, he will still take a loss rather than getting rid of the ball, he will still not go to secondary receivers when the situation warrants it. These are things he did even when he had time in the pocket and have not improved in the three years he's been here. They can be seen and measured independent of surrounding players.Umm, exactly what I said in my post before that sentence, as indicated by the word "consequently..."

- The new offense being implemented by the new coaching staff does what the old coaching staff hardly ever did - plays exactly to Darnold's demonstrated strengths; a moving pocket, designed rollouts for throwing on the move (where Darnold has proven to be extremely accurate) and play-action, et al.
- the cap space and abundance of high draft picks almost guarantees that Darnold would have the best supporting cast he has had to date, by a wide margin
- the Jets' new coaching staff appears to be head and shoulders above what Sam has had so far in his Jets career.
Excellently phrasedNope. He has to go.
Big Moe i hope i am wrong about Sam too“I’m a-sailin’ with the tide … or my name ain’t Shanghai Sam … and it is”
Bon Voyage Sam!!!

Also, the fact that he has the lowest rating of all NFL quarterbacks on passes over 10 yards tell that he would not be able to take advantage of better receivers.
Nope. He has to go. A new system might make him better. But the flaws I just described will limit just how far he can take a team.
