I'm reading posts about the veteran leadership that the Jets cut away, Really??
What was it, week THREE when the locker room imploded??
Where the f was all this veteran leadership then?
Who was going to say something, Revis? That guy was laughing all the way to the bank every week.
Mangold? it's hard to listen to a guy that's sitting on the training table, same goes for Decker who has been hurt two of the three seasons he's played for the Jets and at a very high salary to boot.
Marshall? Ha, Ha, Ha
Fitzpatrick? He's basically the reason everyone was fighting anyway.
Gilchrist? Did he even play last year, I don't remember seeing him, at all.
The point is the Jets went 5-11 last year with these players and looked like shit doing it.If that is the kind of leadership those players are going to provide, while getting paid top dollar, then the Jets don't need it.
I'd rather watch a team of hungry young players trying to win and get better week after week then a bunch of past their prime great players trying to hang onto yesterday or consistently injured players making a boatload of money to sit and watch the games.Either way it's not helping the Jets franchise.
